I think I’d let Arsenal take him.I’ve been told that this isn’t even close yet
Might even play more forward like stones with new signings incoming the line up has so many variables to it. Another challenge for our competitors plus team getting taller and stronger which is an edge to physical presence.Rice seems to be a decent number 6......surely phillips will see him come in and despite his comments a few days ago think his chances are going to be very very limited.
Maybe Pep thinks he can turn Rice into a more attacking player as this for me is where his limitation in...great defensively but not much going forward......losing Ilky and Bernardo would therefore still need addressing unless Pep thinks he can do something with Rice (and Foden moving more centrally perhaps?)
Sorry. However, don't fall down those steps now and smash through all those doors cos that would also be ironic.Good luck with that, I'm 3 floors up, and they'd have to get through several doors, but anyway thanks for the nice thoughts (oh and I'm not in London anyway).
Oh by the way "cleavers" is a wild plant that sticks to everything.
We are in for him though or not?I’ve been told that this isn’t even close yet
Not planning on going near the steps at this time of night.Sorry. However, don't fall down those steps now and smash through all those doors cos that would also be ironic.
SensibleNot planning on going near the steps at this time of night.
Interesting re Rodri. Not a big fan of his but I trust txiki and Pep and I haven’t seen him enough to have a full opinion.
Assuming if we did get him, the thinking is partner him with Rodri, and either play Rodri further forward a bit (he’s shown he can do the Gundo role a few times already) or shift Foden centrally.
The fluidity of team increasing means we can play total football in it full sense.Moving quickly it seems like.
I just want to say Stones + Rice + Gvardiol (if it happens) is a fascinating group of players to work with in that area of the pitch. The flexibility they each provide and ability to move into midfield/drop into defense.... will be interesting to see them all in the same side. Peps wet dream
