No, you’re mistaking Pol and Lu. Lu was the one for that - people were like, He’s reliable! He’s close to Pep and people at the club! I said - No, he wrote the book with Pol, but isn’t taken very seriously in Spain and the show in which he gave that “info” (if you actually watch it, you will see that he is guessing/giving an opinion) isn’t too serious either, just Barcelona propaganda. Pol, the source here, is respected and reliable

My mistake!! Knew it was the fella from his book but wrong one..
that could also be true though?
Didn’t mean to say it wasn’t but it’s just strange to hear from a solid source given it goes against all other sources. Like with the Kane link I’m just wondering if this is a bit of gamesmanship while we negotiate with someone else.

A really top player and only getting better.

His price is huge, but I think one day he will become a top centre half.

I'd take him in a heartbeat, can never have enough good players, especially if Fern and then Gundo step down.
With rice sancho foden mount grealish Bellingham it’s just a shame the England manager is Gareth Southgate

I was banging on about Rice when there were zero links to him and everyone was assuring me there was no chance we were in for him, I just couldn’t get my head round why he wouldn’t be on the clubs radar, especially if Fernandinho is leaving. Well, seems the professionals at the club know a top player when they see one ;)

Would only make sense to me if we were facing a summer where we had significant Cb departures as well. Like if Ake and Laporte both wanted to find regular game time then a player like Rice could maybe get games at both CDM and CB covering multiple positions sort of like how Fernandinho did last season. I think it’s really hard to play multiple positions though.

He seems to divide opinion quite strongly. I'm pretty sure Your Kid wrote a scathing assessment recently.

I've seen him have games where I have thought he has the potential to prosper under Pep. Post Brexit, we may need to increase the English contingent in the squad and I think there would be worse ways.

We aren't going to spend the money on him so its a non story. Douglas Luiz is about as good as it will get, far more important issues to resolve.

Exactly. Current prices dictate that we can’t be spending big money on luxuries. Striker first and that will break our transfer record.
I’d like Grealish but how much will that cost?

Liverpool rated Ibe above Sterling!!!! lol
Difference is Cantwell has had a decent season debut season in the Premier League and has played a part in Norwich getting promoted as Champions. Probably not quite good enough for City but still a good starting point for Villa.

That was on their forum.....reading our transfer forum, especially the 'players who might improve us' thread .......we have as many deluded fools as them ;)
IMHO.....Rice is decent nothing more, think Hammers would miss Soucek? Much more.

Soucek has crossed my mind for West Ham players but he is still limited for us.
