Unless you have de-aging potion, KDB as a high level functioning footballer has not long left. And yes, this is true. Unless you think KDB will be the first sportsman in history to defy the biological trend of sportspeople levelling off once they go past 30.

It doesnt matter if Odegaard will ever be as good as KDB, the fact is in two years time when KDB is 34 and Odegaard is 26, the likelihood of Odegaard being the more effective player is extremely high.

I think we would rather loan him out to a club like AC Milan and pay half his wages than accept 35m from a big6 club :)

In 2 years Odegaard will be better than KDB, maybe correct, in 2 years thogh we will have a KDB replacement coached by Guardiola, so he will be better than Odegaard. Unless of course it is Odegaard.

We would want Odengaard obviously I would offer you Cancelo and 75 million see if it unsettled him and left you in a position to make a decision
Yes I accept it’s unrealistic
I would then say well unfortunately you’re not having Cancelo on the cheap
It’s £60 million take or leave it otherwise we will sell elsewhere
We are in a position where the best players will want to come to us to win trophies
You are still emerging and behind us at the moment
What is the saying we hold all the cards

Obviously can never say guaranteed for anything but I think it's fair to say that ...

1/ City are the most likely team to finish in the top four, and will have the narrowest odds with all the bookies, most likely to be considered favourites for the league by vast majority of pundits and journalists again.

2/ based on context that's obviously the intention of the original post.

I think you're a good poster and it must be tricky not to take all the bait that gets thrown at you on here but this one is straying into word games as a wind up. If the forum is aggravating you to that point then you're better of just stepping away for a bit.

You have to accept it's gonna be like this on a rival team's forum, it's the dedicated place people come to to be entirely biased and tribal, and you've chosen to spend time here.

I think Declan is a good player. He certainly is good off the ball and breaking up attacks, etc... but in Arsenal where they will dominate the ball the majority of games, he's going to be asked to do things potentially completely out of his toolbox that wasn't required of him at West Ham... Even with England, I think he's far too reluctant to come and get the ball. Maybe he does have a killer pass and some goal-scoring ability in him but I certainly haven't seen it in his years at West Ham and with England.

Thats one of the most simplistic takes ever ever seen. Guardiola has himself said they key to his success is having good players. He said so himself, 'I have had Messi and Haaland'. Gaurdiola doesn't 'make' these players. He never did turn Delph into Robert Carlos did he?

If KDB could easily be replaced, then there is nothing special about him. The idea about special players is they dont grow on trees and when it comes time to replacing them, its often incredibly difficult. Of the top of my head, there isnt one attainable player that could directly replace KDB in the short term.

It doesn't worry me because I can't see arsenal being anywhere near next year no matter who they sign
