Declan Rice

Go back to your game of FIFA, you are wasting my time now
If you meant to include all wingers, wide midfielders and wide forwards then yes Rice would struggle to make a top 10 or 20.

I assumed you only meant central players - you know, the position Rice actually plays.

How do you even compare him to a winger?

Ignore him, clearly an attention seeking odd ball.

Totally agree with all but the last line. If he chooses arsenal just to be a big fish if both have West Ham acceptance then I hope he wins fuck all unless arsenal get the rags or dippers in a final. And even then it’ll be a meh cant they both lose.
To be honest if he doesn’t come then his speech I am leaving WH to win trophies etc etc haunts him. Wouldn’t wish Kane situation on him that is something else all together. Kane imo is too comfortable at Spurs if he doesn’t leave this summer. This is best optimal time in his peak to get that big move.

You make some reasonable points but nothing is decided about where Rice will play next season.

Also, he's free to choose his next club, no need for some posters to get defensive. We are likely to be strong anyway.
Oh i know it was mainly about the reaction to 'the news' god help fans if it swings again and its in citys favour.... im not to fussed either way personally whether he comes or not.

With the Viking in last summer and with the treble, it was difficult to summon up the outrage after the Bellingham news. Much less so for Rice.

I think Guardiola would still need someone like Rice. Rodri played more minutes than all other City players. I am sure Rodri relishes playing, but I am hoping he and Guardiola would come to an agreement that he would play less. So, Guardiola would need either a defender who may operate as a CM, an 8 who could operate as a 6, or a carbon-copy of Rodri. The Croatian defender's name being bandied about is exciting. Maybe even getting Kim, with a release clause, from Napoli in addition to the Croatian might be good.

At the end of the summer, I would hope the outcome is that Rodri plays less minutes.

If Arsenal buy him huge huge pressure on Arteta next season. Based on this season the pressure was way too much. Going to be an interesting season as all the top clubs will be much stronger.
They’re all playing catch-up. City were way below the level for half a PL season and in the end we still won it with games to spare.

City can be even better, even more consistent across a whole season and that’s what frightens the cartel.

The part of that summation I don't understand would be that it may happen if Arsenal can't meet West Ham's demands. That'd be a weird one to me, as we don't seem to operate that way.
You may be right city may have already moved on by that point

Good news story.
Players who have gone to other clubs have been better rewarded financially but have done poorly in football. Maguire, Sanchez, etc. Bellingham might be the first who wouldn't do too badly somewhere else. As long as Saka keeps playing the way he does, Rice would do well enough under Arteta.
