PIPs appeal adjourned due to lack of evidence

GP had refused to put it in her medical records until after her scan. Happy to prescribe tablets for it and book PET and CT scans. These are in April then we go back and try again

My brother and myself sat with a lawyer, Dr and someone from benefits office for over an hour and outcome was adjournment until scan results

They refused my Aunt attendance allowance until I went beserk and said you'd better send someone to actually see her for yourselves.

They did..........then she got it. Don't think you can claim other benefits over pension age?

She got fuck all else and had financial assessments to charge for any care.

Sorry you are having to fight the system , it is set up to say no unfortunately , the cost of appeals must be more than just paying sick people in the first place , still waiting for my decision but am gathering evidence for appeal right now as i know a no is coming

PIP possible if in pay before reaching pension age, pension credit if state pension isn't full due to reduced NI conts. Quite common especially for women . Someone could claim carers allowance under certain conditions (and UC carers premium) as AA acts as qualifying benefit. PC& UC are means tested

Looks like we've won our appeal after submitting more evidence. Absolutely made up for my sister. One thing less to worry about and stress over
