I like Argentine players esp defenders, they tend to be no nonsense tough players and will not whinge about the weather or silly niggly things, they also tend to kick twats like Rooney up the Arris so he will do for me for a couple of years

We were only going to get Pepe if he was available for around 15m in my opinion.

We only need a back up and Demechelis would be the perfect man, he understands Pellegrini's style and will cover in central defense when needed.

Kompany and Nastasic was the best defense in the league last season so why break it up completely with a new defender who will hinder Nastasic's growth?

I wanted Pepe at first, but I am thinking now that Demechelis would definitely be the better option in relation to the team, he would rotate better whilst Pepe would demand a first team spot weekly. We would then have Nastasic and Lescott putting up a fuss, Nastasic if anything is the future of the club and showed last year how promising he is, why destroy is confidence?
