Whenever bad news breaks about any given party there seems to be a rush of whataboutery from the side being accused, this lot in Parliament right now are like children telling on each other.

I think that was my favourite political speech ever, just because it meant so much, that was real passion. My other favourite, not nearly as passionate, but very clinical was Geoffrey Howe's resignation speech.

This just about sums up the Labour party today.
A party with no morals, no shame and full of racist anti-semities.
It is an embarrassment to the reasons the Labour party was founded.

The Conservative party was asked nearly a year ago to investigate Islamophobia in the party (by the Muslim Council) and has yet to do anything... the Conservative party has MPs that subscribe to Whattsapp and facebook groups that are overtly racist

Even Baroness Warsi has said that there is systemic racism in the Conservative party and it needs to be investigated. Yet Labour is Full of anti semites?

Calling out a political party for its actions is not hatred or a dislike of a people or a religion .... however, in your mind, you have allowed it to be the same .

I thought he’d get at least a working majority at the ‘92 general election, even after that speech. Was pretty shocked that Major won that election (even although it arguably turned out to be a poisoned chalice). That was the first election I was entitled to vote in, even though I was 22. Just missed out in ‘87.

I voted Labour in ‘92 (would have voted Libdem if I was eligible in ‘87). On both occasions my voting intention was principally defined by the party most likely to beat the Tories within the constituency I was residing.

Right wing parties are, by their very nature, generally xenophobic & racist so they attract people of similar views. That’s their raison d’etre more often than not so we shouldn’t be surprised by that.

Left wing parties generally pride themselves on their tolerance and diversity. They should be the last place you’d find a racist. Yet the Labour Party under Corbyn, a man of intemperate views where Israel is concerned, has allowed an culture to develop where antisemitism is seen as acceptable or even desirable. And the leader of that party has been less than strenuous in putting the lid on it.
