If he's yer mate fella do me a favour and ask him the best course of action for a young man with acute and chronic neuropathy following a bout of necrotising pancreatitis (90% necrosed not functioning endo or gastro). Opiates dont seem to be cutting the mustard and are only helping him along with reduced function. Wil a Coelic nerve block be of any help with his pain.

Also Vagas nerve stimulation treatment has been bandied around his thoughts?

I'm very sorry to hear about this young man's illness.

Please understand that Dr. Kruse is unable to practice medicine on the Internet in the manner you request. Partly for legal reasons, partly because he would need to know a lot of information about the patient before he could recommend a specific treatment.

I would encourage you to register on his forum and ask your question in "Ask Jack". He will hopefully make some suggestions and insights for you to bring to the young man's doctor for him to consider.

This is precisely what I’ve put a search in for.

I have replied to a diabetes thread before but not sure which one. It’s neuropathy im
trying to look into.

Not been diagnosed but what I’ve googled, it could be it.

Some times it’s unbearable. Other times hardly notice it and I can’t link a pattern of food or drink intake that spikes it.

My toes get tingly. Shooting pains up the ankle and just general discomfort. I am
Type 2 but as recent as June my bloods were pre diabetic as I do eat the right stuff most of the time, and take Metformin.

Anyone’s experience with what could be neuropathy? I’m at the docs in a few weeks. I will add my BP is in the high range.

I know this thread helps a few.

Lately I’ve had devilish pains in my feet. Each step is like walking on drawing pins. No sleep. Just horrific.

Been to the docs. My bloods in April were pre diabetic levels but I wasn’t told to reduce my metformin.

B12 test took and the metformin has been sucking the b12 out of my system, and what they think is possibly the cause. No visible signs of what my fear was - neuropathy.

Been told to reduce to one tablet a
Day.

Low carb diet mate, walk if you can, quit the booze. 2 months and you’ll be back in normal range. This is no longer a lifelong illness
