Did Darwin Kill God?

...I clearly need to dial back my previous criticism of those with religious beliefs. Moses clearly parted the Red Sea, Jesus was definitely born of a virgin and walked on water, and Mohammed definitely flew to heaven on a winged horse. Not sure why I’d ever doubted any of it on reflection, and consider myself lucky to not have been boiled with potatoes and cabbage before seeing the errors of my ways.
It's puzzling why folk complain that miraculous events described in the bible & other sacred texts are unbelievable - that is rather their point. I find CS Lewis very helpful in understanding the subject and his views remain influential in the current philosophical debate.

Darwin might have killed the God of classical theism. But there is an alternative.

Couple of reviews of Philip Goff’s latest book:

Haven’t got around to reading it myself yet but the dust jacket of my copy features approving comments from Philip Pullman and Stephen Fry.

Why do you think god cares more about humans than a troupe of baboons or a herd of Wildebeests?

Is it because there were more than two humans on the Ark?

It's wishful thinking combined with fairytales and parables aimed at making good boys and girls of the populace. The fact that most people on death row in USA are believers seems to suggest it's not very successful though.

How dare you not worship the crocodile!
