Did I miss Pelles welcome to City ??

A message to Mr.Pellegrini.
Dear Sir,would it be possible that for the next home game you could be introduced as our new Manager,so that we can kindly show you our full support and thank you for joining our great Club.
I was so pissed off with no real welcome being given, that I started a thread on Blue Moon (yes that one ... Buffins and Marms) but it appeared no one even wanted to discuss this matter.
Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh no,they all wanted to discuss the merits of singing your name at the FA Cup Final way back in May,the support of one Italian genteman,GDM`s kissing techniques (or lack of it),DD`s and others rants at Port Vale and other SHITE topics,so unrelated to this wonderful thread.
Sorry if you read this and don`t understand Blue Mooners way of moving from a specific subject,to numerous other subjects that could quite easily send a fucking glass eye to sleep.
Your humble servant.
Oakiecokie.

Knew I'd open a can of worms!

I've witnessed plenty of things I'd rather not have seen from City supporters. and far worse than singing about Pelle. I was being a tad provocative but the reason I considered it particularly dumb was that it was soooo obvious that Pelle was very, very likely to be our next manager.
Haha! Fair play.

It was a bit silly, I agree, but like the"Herman Muster Head" song it'll be a mere historical curiosity, never spoken about, in time to come.
Hahahaha! I'd forgotten about that. The same guys singing "Herman Munster head" had his name on their shirts 3 months later. Same united fans singing "fergie sign him up" we're singing "who's that twat from Argentina?" A few weeks later.

Football is so fucking pantomime isn't it?
Oh no it isn't!

Sorry.

Oh yes it is.

You do realise he won't read this?

Regarding your "shite topics" comment, pot kettle mate.

The thing is, the last 6-8 weeks of last season were a bit of a joke on and off the pitch and although hindsight is a wonderful thing, at that point I thought Mancini was being harshly treated. I felt compelled to defend him on here and amongst a few mates who didn't rate him.
I'd rather not spend time arguing with fellow City fans as the era we are now in should be greeted with nothing but positivity. There aren't many things that annoy me enough to give more than a passing thought to but the treatment of our then manager was a subject I felt strongly enough about to get involved in.

I never had a problem with anyone defending the manager but a lot of stuff got out of hand and hopefully we won't have such a divisive debate again any time soon:-)

Yep, agree that tempers flared last season. I was as guilty as the next man when it came to going overboard. As far as I can make out though the majority of our support are together in their backing of Pellegrini and that's how I believe it should be.
I'll still pop into the weekly Mancini threads - can't have Billy and Dave having them all to themselves.. Haha!

I was truly disgusted at the people singing the Pellegrini song in wembley. I also remember being angry at vassell's name being booed before a game by a lot of people. I think samaras got that too-booed onto the field. I've hear terrible abuse of players back in the 90s too, like edgehill, summerbee, dibble. Dibble being booed every time he touched the ball was bad too.

It's football though. Every club has knobheads.
I also remember a small number(couple of hundred?) singing Hillsborough chants in the first game at Maine Road after Machin was sacked that was against LFC and they had the audacity to score.

That's worse than what was sung at the Green Man, surely?

Funny what you say about Vassell. Mate of mine (who's a blue) bumped into him a t a golf club in the East Midlands a few weeks ago and they inevitably got onto the subject of City. He couldn't say enough good things about the club and the supporters - best time of his career he said. May have been playing to up to the audience to some extent, but my mate said he seemed genuine.
I never heard any hillsbrough singing but obviously plenty of Munich stuff and I remember the kippax hissing and singing 'spurs are on their way to Belsen' in the 80s too. To an extent it went on everywhere back then.

Going to be honest here: I found the demonisation of tevez to be pathetic too.

I don't always agree with your comments DD but your spot on here pal.. When he returned, Tevez did as much as anyone in the title winning season!

-- Thu Aug 22, 2013 11:24 am --

Well they had a bash over the summer didn't they ... the Barca Boys don't know what they're doing. Pellegrini's never won a trophy. Never managed in England. Some of them are still at it. I'm worried they're going to get lockjaw spending so much time posting through gritted teeth!

I think it speaks volumes that the number of that lot who come into these threads has slowly dwindled. They've seen the light and that's all that matters in the end ... ;)
