Did New Order write the most infectious songs ever?

There seems to be a bizarre love triangle going on with some posters on this thread

They were the best , coolest and most cutting edge bank in the world between 1981 and 1989, but Acid House and old age made them increasingly irrelevant. Their peak years were 1985-87.

I've seen them live many many times. The last time was Blackpool a few years ago when I realised I wasn't even enjoying it any more. I hate to see them on the telly now as they are a shell of what they were.

They are miles better live now than they have ever been.

You mean they play fewer bum notes and Barney uses an autocue? That's not the same thing.

Any old school New Order fan will tell you that the mix of utterly shambolic and occasionally heavenly was what made them brilliant live.

Always been a big new order fan, but remember seeing them at sec (about 1990)?& apart from chillies at etihad its the worst live performance ive ever seen
