!?!?!? did we get knocked out of europe lastnight?

If we were 1-0 down like Liverpool i would say it was possible..

But i dont see City getting any more than a one goal advantage at Eastlands. To make things worse, Dzeko is misfiring.

So i will still, and always will, support City, but i honestly think its over for us in Europe.
Exactly.

I wonder how many of this lot criticizing fans who call a spade a spade have/will actually put their money where their mouths are and have splashed £20+ on a ticket for the return leg.

I have very little confidence, but I'll give 'em as much encouragement as I can next week.

I think what annoyed me most was that Kiev didn't actually have to play all that well in order to beat us 2-0. They took their 2 goals well, although there was an element of luck about the second one, but apart from looking dangerous on the counter attack I didn't think they were all that impressive. A City team on form should have been able to cope with them comfortably. Unfortunately, whether it be down to individual poor performances or due to tactical mistakes, we let them beat us without really needing to perform.

That's why I'm confident of winning the home leg, we'll be far better at home and, as has been proven in the Europa League and the FA Cup, we'll certainly find the net at COMS. Frustratingly the lack of an away goal, combined with Gusev's late second for Kiev, means that should they catch us on the break and score, we need to bag 4 times, in the 90 minutes, in order to progress. I think we're capable of scoring 4 times, but it will be a monumentally difficult thing to achieve, especially as I fully expect Kiev to "park the bus" and hold onto what they've got.

There is still everything to play for agreed, but there is no point dressing up last night as anything other than what it was. We were poor in general furthermore a handful of expensive "stars" were worse than poor, one of which betrayed our shirt.
take it thats another dig at mario, get off his back ffs
I'll get off his back when he stops wimping out of games he doesn't fancy and puts the kind of shift his salary demands and the kind of performance his undoubted talent is capable of if that's ok with you.

Still possible but not easy.

But we are well capable of keeping a clean sheet (with at least 20 this season so far).

Last night the performance was just as disappointing as the result. The best performances from Tevez this season have been when he's up front on his own. He seems 'stifled' when he's up there with Dzeko or Balotelli or both.

A long standing problem this season is when we go a goal behind, we have problems breaking teams down and turning it into a win - and that includes Leicester and Notts County. We need some pace in the side instead of relying on Micah bursting his lungs from a full back position.

When you look at Tottenham's performances against Milan recently, we have a lot of work to do if we are going to compete at that level next season.

Kinel,i didnt bother coming on here last night cuz i thought people would be moaning and by the looks of it i was right.
Its only half time,an away goal would of been great but we can win at eastlands im sure!
I noticed Dzeko and Mario are getting shit again,we are so lucky to have these players and all they get when we lose is a load of shit from their own fans, idiots!
Mario had an allergy didnt he!? but of course thats his fault aint it,nobody on here have allergys to anything do they??
It was minus temps there lastnight, that makes a huge difference to some players ie Dzeko,i didnt think we played that bad to tbh,we sure didnt deserve to get beat by that score line either, but hey its only Kiev,we should be beating them easy shouldnt we,come on,alot of fans are sounding like rags for gods sake!
I seriously cant believe the shit Marios getting,he wont be getting shit if he scores next week will he?
Its half time,have faith!!

half time and i still fancy us to progress

With most clubs it would be game over but its City we're talking about.

My prediction is 4-1 with 2 of our goals in the last 5 minutes and injury time :)
