Did we really get it wrong?

Listen I'm hoping it is shit stirring from Sky but it needs to be clarified or it will be used as a stick to beat us with. I think it may well have been lost in translation but what I am saying is relevant if we did cock it up.

I agree, simple question and the answer will end speculation and allow defence tomorrow when this raises its rag infested head at work.
Was 4-2 enough to top the group?

And yes, spectacular win, over the moon but I need to be prepared for attack so that's the reason to find out ! Not to take away from the positivity of the win

These are the parts of the interview Sky were raving on about (from the MCFC website):

“I was tempted to put Sergio on, that’s why I sent him to warm up but Silva couldn’t play more than 70 minutes and we had decided to bring Alvaro on,” Manuel revealed.

“For our team, it was important to get to the top of the group but it wasn’t the most important thing."

For me, Sky will never go out of their way to praise City, and after listening to the pundits, they seemed more disappointed that Munich lost than us winning.

I'm not being negative about the win, Jesus read the post first. We are supposed to be one of the world's top teams so IF we got it wrong it is very poor and needs sorting. Nothing to do with the game, win etc.

I wouldn't bother tonight, you will only keep getting abuse. However we are already getting panned in the media. Thought typical City had gone

Sorry for wanting to improve and be the best. Let's all pat each other on the backs and not worry if we don't know the rules. Some of you worry me. It's clear what I said but you still can't or won't see it.

-- Wed Dec 11, 2013 12:13 am --

It IS obvious then!
You must be either a kid or pissed, either way it's no use trying to reason with you.

I looks like there has been a bit of a brainfreeze somewhere in typical City style ... maybe they were fixated on 3-0 being the required result. Bringing Sergio on and going all out might have made sense, but was just as likely to cost us the morale boosting win, as it was to get us the group winning fourth.

The long and short is its a great win and we're qualified ... we have just as much chance of winning the competition from here as we would have if we'd won 5-0. Only the bean counters who wanted an easier route to the quarters have any cause for complaint.

That's been spun. Not what was said... At least not in its entirety.

Truly bizarre incident. Fantastic win. Astonishing comments afterwards. Utterly. Let's put it down to, ahem, language barrier and move on!

Ever heard the phrase "can't see the wood for the trees"?

We beat Munich away, great display..qualify for the last 16 and nearly top the group...the 1st thing you do is start a thread slagging the manager. You wonder why your getting shit? You for real?

Exactly my point, sadly we seem to have some really thick fans....

That what I heard too. I cannot see what the fuss is about.

He brought Rodwell on late on because they were getting on top and our two strikers were doing nothing. Putting aguero on then could have cost us a deserved, morale boosting win
