Amanda Burton , once the star of Brookside also lived in the area at one time.
Maybe it's had to adjust a lot more to meet the students needs nowadays , but through good times and bad , Didsbury continues to be known as one of South Manchesters most fashionable suburbs.
Alright Wiki, we asked for an opinion, not a brief history.

BTW I like it, seems quite a cool place to me, it's looks less snobby than Alty anyway.

Used to be great but since the influx of bars it's gone really 'towny'.
Still get a decent pint in places like D&P, Station, Nelson, Royal Oak and one round the back but it ain't like it used to be.
