I guess it is. If you have a seasoncard, you have 1000 points automatically anyway so you'll have more loyalty points than someone who goes to the same games but doesn't. So the more I think about it, why not just go on points full stop? A seasoncard holder with 2000 points shouldn't get prioroty over someone who doesn't have a seasoncard yet has 4000 points.

Exactly what i've been banging on about...

95% of people moaning on here are hypocrites as they wouldn't bat an eyelid to a ST holder getting priority over a CC holder, infact they'd defend that process (even if the ST has 2k and the CC 4k)

So if that process is ok, then this is exactly the same, except for cup not league. Add to that every ST with even a modicum of history to it will qualify for a ticket regardless...

I can see two choices:

A. Loyalty points trump all memberships
B. The current system where loyalty points plus membership dictates priority.
Yes but it is weel known that SC get priority over CC, wether it is right or not.

What wasn't known was that people on the cup scheme would get priority over those not on it, it has been sprung on us. A little warning is all i ask for

1800 point sc and been to every cup game do you think i will get a ticket?

Please don't take the piss just let me know cheers.

touch + go mate.
To be honest, based on everything i have read + seen today on this forum + elsewhere I would say 60/40 against (but I hope for your sake that I am wrong)

I have made this point repeatedly on multiple threads, but I don't apologise for making it again:
the "optimists" seem to think that poor uptake from seasoncard holders in previous rounds is somehow a reliable indicator to demand for the biggest game in recent history i.e. tickets will go down to citycard holders.

the "pessimists" (including me) acknowledge that the "pooling system" for points for those with more than 3000 will lead to a significant increase in demand for tickets from this category. i.e. tickets will go down to seasoncard holders with between 1500-2000 points.

So loyalty points regardless of whether you have a season ticket or not is the fairest way?

So if you havent had a season ticket for the last 2 years you could still get a tickets as you have been more loyal then someone who has had a season ticket for 4 years

Well how would they reward the cup scheme then?
In the same way they reward people who go to away games and friendlies -

Loyalty points

The cup scheme is for your convenience so you don't have to fart about with the ticket office.

True, but it's also a commitment to buy a ticket for every home cup match. That commitment is being rewarded.

Its got nothing do to with who bought what
Next season the uptake on the cup direct scheme will double (at least)
JOB DONE
theyve tried allsorts but this will work ...at last

Why should they reward it? If it was stated at the start of the season that being on the CDS would have reward then fair enough, but it wasn't.
I didnt join as i assumed it was simply for convenience, not a show of loyalty. Since it is easy for me to get tickets I did not see the point in joining.

The issue I have is that originally there was no difference between CDS and those who bought all the tickets when they come out, but now there is apparntly more loyalty for being in the CDS

No need to chase your ticket, no risk of your ST seat going to someone else, no booking fee's. If you planned on going to every game anyway i don't see why you wouldn't.

I've joined every cup scheme, i didn't expect this kind of reward but it makes perfect sense, its the same process for the league games, as it now is for the cup games.
People in closed stands and south stand will have chase their ticket anyway, im not bothered about where i sit (to a certain extent) and i got to the office since its no bother.

What im saying is there wasnt the incentive which there is now and had i know wembly priority was available i would have jumped at it, who wouldnt?

But this hasn't really affected anyone, its not fucked anyone over, everyone who would have got a ticket will get one anyway... this is a thank you for the one's who agreed to go to an unknown amount of games, pay an unknown amount of money where our home crowd was around 60% of the league games.

Its not hurt anyone and its still rewarded in the same way a league ST does.

You shouldn't need incentive, that's the whole point... the one's who did sign up did so without incentive. They just wanted to follow City and they'll get to do that.

was never told about any cup scheme even tho i went and bought ticket in person for every round, no one thinks to tell you about it so now might not get ticket, typical same old city!!!

It's not about affecting people though, it's the principle of being classed as loyal as those who couldn't be arsed going to all of the games when we have bought the same tickets as those who are in the CDS.

Again put yourself in mine and a couple of thousand of others shoes for one minute, you didn't join the CDS but have gone to every cup game, where as i joined the CDS and went to every cup game.

Would you be agreeing with it then? Honest answer mate.

Before you come back with some kind of "i was only messing around" have something worth saying... don't try and insult me by picking one line out of what i've said all night and try and twist it, i have the points to get a ticket regardless... go back to where i told you (again) that a cup SF at Wembley isn't an "away game" and start gain from there.

Got 5,500 points myself so im ok but Dad and lad 3,600 and 2,000 would get one but i would have to wait until criteria reached 2,000 Cup direct scheme all members " Oh Happy days"

No of course noone is really affected, I'll have mine of course. I have no gripe with rewarding cup loyalty, it is just that it has come on us suddenly without warning. I just like to know where i stand, and I will certainly be on the scheme next season

I'm just curious of how people on the scheme would have reacted if they weren't on it.

and I have the points to get a ticket.

Yes, and i've explained why many times over.

I wouldn't disagree that City have seen this as a chance to increase next season cup attendances, rewarding CDS members whilst affecting pretty much no one. But CC holders will pay more per match than a ST holder yet the fact the ST holder pledged attendance upfront they get priority, its the same here.

I agree fans who have been to all the cup games should also be rewarded but once again, if you knew you were going to go to all the games why would you not join the scheme?
