It was a little I suppose. But given the circumstances against an uninspiring championship team broadcast live on BBC, and not cheap enough to fill empty seats it's, hardly surprising. Not a bad turnout, but I pay no attention to the media fueling the fire of our stadium, 'The Emptihad': /Just saw the attendance on Sunday ………. does anybody else think its a bit disappointing ?
I'm not sure he realises how expensive the wembley trips are let alone all the others in 4 comps, you guys do a fucking brilliant job following the teamI agree. We all knew for that game it was maximum of 45k, we won’t sell more than that for that game. Not a sleight on the fans, it’s been a dear do and people are assuming we’ll get to Wembley end of February. Of all the games, that Fulham one was the one we wouldn’t go to. I didn’t.
It won’t, mate. Nowhere near.It will sell out I think.
It’s the first club he’s managed where fans tend not to turn up in droves. We have ~40k base fans that will always turn up, then fair weather fans and tourists. I’d have preferred him to shut up but he’s a right to ask people to turn up, probably strange to him to see so many empty seats

He wasn't asked about the crowd,he was asked about the squad but answered about the crowd
I agree with a lot of the problems you point out. Thing is though attendances at most premier league clubs are probably higher than they’ve ever been. The club and the authorities need to realise they are close to tipping the average match goer over the edge. There are now so many games at stupid times that, fans may just, on occasions put the non football parts of their lives first. Salaries have not moved significantly up for over 10 years, many people are doing 6 day weeks to make ends meet and at the same time the number of games being played has increased. Put that together with more live games on TV and their accompanying stupid kick off times will just not allow people to attend every game as they may have done in the past. Add a bit of VAR into the mix and it's no surprise that game do not always sell out.
