You're kidding right ? I suggest you go watch the City Southampton game from last season again and have a look at what less talented but mobile players did to Barry.

And......Billy jumps into Pelle defence mode.

Yeah. If Liverpool do win the title its going to be a long summer of frantic spinning on here.

Personally I always thought the Barry decision was more Txiki than Pellers and more about saving on the wage bill than football...

I was just thinking this aswell.
The excuses are coming out thick and fast..Luck this luck that. What a load of bollocks because you make you own luck in this game.
"Liverpool will definitely drop points" ...Keep hearing the same old shit
"The club will back Pellegrini in summer"...Keep spending when we have the best squad imo.

Personally I think uwe have everything in place apart from a top top world class manager.
If Klopp became available I would hope the club go all out for him.
Of course I know I am in the minority here however why does the end of this season feel like a damp squib, yet again??

If City win it or get close to Luckypool Pellegrini will get another season.
If we blow up I reckon he will be toast as it WOULD (not DOES btw) show a complete inability to deal with adversity.

I have huge concerns about him (suicidal defensive tactics far too often, tactical naivety and not being proactive when things are not going well). But, for the most part, the football has been highly enjoyable and we have had awful injuries since Christmas. My biggest concern however, is injuries and as we had injuries to key players for long periods last season, my eyes would be on medical and physio practice at the club - which needs to be seriously reviewed.

i think thats spot on mate and covers most things in a nice short post, good man

His latest comments seem like the 'holistic' version of Mancini's "I need more players!". I wonder if he managed to keep a straight face when saying Richards and Rodwell had been "unlucky with injuries", since these two are lucky to be around for half a season and have become complete liabilities on the club, reducing his rotation options.

He probably overestimated the squad and competing on four fronts, in addition to creating a pile-up of injuries for overworked star players, seems to have burned out the likes of Nasri and Fernandinho (some of us worried about this when he was never rested in the first half of the season after coming from Ukraine) who have lost something lately.

So I guess he'll get 4 or 5 good players, including Mangala and Fernando, and maybe look to involve one of the better youth players if they aren't loaned out.

It's quite amusing hearing the people who wanted Pelligrini out in October after defeats against Cardiff,Villa etc..
Then after we beat the rags, Liverpool, Munich etc he is a great manager..
Now after no wins in our last 2 games they want him out again.
Thank fuck these same posters don't manage me at work.

Chaps, I'm no Pellegrini worshiper, but there can be no doubt that we have had bad injuries this season. Would Liverpool have stayed on track losing Suarez AND Sturridge since the end of January? Negrado clearly still has a problem and Aguero is simply not fully fit yet.

Suarez missed how many games at the start of the season??? 6 was it
Gerrard missed 4-5 weeks with a hamstring strain...

Injuries are a shocking excuse pal.

Spot on. Sturridge out for 8 weeks after Roy wanted to "test his resolve" in a silly friendly. Practically all their defence have been out at times this season. Only Henderson has kept himself available for the whole of the season.

Some of us are simply pragmatic enough to view this campaign as one that promised much but has delivered little.
Going out of Europe to possibly the worst Barca side in 20 years, losing out on an FA cup semi final to a Championship team and a faltering Premiership title bid tell their own story.

Injuries are indeed a shocking excuse especially as we should have a squad capable of coping with them. Unfortunately we dont, over to you for the excuses Txiki.
