Chaps, I'm no Pellegrini worshiper, but there can be no doubt that we have had bad injuries this season. Would Liverpool have stayed on track losing Suarez AND Sturridge since the end of January? Negrado clearly still has a problem and Aguero is simply not fully fit yet.

Suarez missed how many games at the start of the season??? 6 was it
Gerrard missed 4-5 weeks with a hamstring strain...

Injuries are a shocking excuse pal.
Injuries are indeed a shocking excuse especially as we should have a squad capable of coping with them. Unfortunately we dont, over to you for the excuses Txiki.

Oh yeah I forgot the Sturridge one aswell. Unreal.

Sturridge over Xmas and next few games, Henderson.......
We had Toure this season when the last 3 he was at the ACON.

Pellegrini himself said we have the best squad in the league, so if he doesn't win the league then it's got to be noted as a failure.

It's quite amusing hearing the people who wanted Pelligrini out in October after defeats against Cardiff,Villa etc..
Then after we beat the rags, Liverpool, Munich etc he is a great manager..
Now after no wins in our last 2 games they want him out again.
Thank fuck these same posters don't manage me at work.

Some of us are simply pragmatic enough to view this campaign as one that promised much but has delivered little.
Going out of Europe to possibly the worst Barca side in 20 years, losing out on an FA cup semi final to a Championship team and a faltering Premiership title bid tell their own story.

The mental attitude , killer instinct isn't there when its really needed , ie when sides press us and take it to us which also exposes some of our frailties both personnel and set up wise.

Some of that comes down to management and the next five games is a huge test to see how we come through that.

I think next season will be the test for MP to see how much he has learnt from the mistakes of this season.

Suarez didn't miss half of the damn premier league season through injury did he? They didn't have to deal with Aspas and Moses up top for long periods because either Sturridge or Suarez was out for long periods. Wish people would stop comparing Suarez missing the beginning of the season with everything to play for as if he missed a crucial stretch during the thick of the season. He missed Stoke, Villa, United,Swansea and Southampton.

we play attractive football that is good to watch but you cannot imagine him giving a speech before a game to gee up the players..

i think we need a manager with more passion..

Afternoon mate. Just been reading that Txiki and Ferran will be summoned as well regarding this season (well if the media are to be believed)
What a great chance to win our second title this season and the apologists can only come up with the injuries and luck excuse.
Pellegrini is a nice guy,a good manager...World class-not in a million years.

Do I want him out. Only is a world class manager becomes available.

Throughout his tenure Pellegrini has shown very little tactical acumen or nous .

He has basically picked a starting eleven and allowed them to attempt to express themselves and get on with it . Considering we have a lot of talented players we usually win through sheer ability alone .
But in tight , cagey affairs against similar quality opposition , when fine margins come to the fore he has been found wanting .
No gameplan and a soft underbelly has cost us time and time again in the pivotal crunch games that really matter .

The Chilean Harry Redknapp ...

There are rumours if Ancelotti fails to win the Champions League he'll be sacked. I'll take him in a heartbeat. World class manager. He encourages a good brand of football but is tactically astute and adapts his style around his players which is what I think we need.

i like MP but id snatch your hand off to have klopp here at the start of next season, sadly i think the rags will get him in the end
