Building some significant momentum now and a win away at Villa would make the Bayern game very interesting. Cannot wait for that one.

Hugely impressed with the last 3 games and although already done to death, Sunday in particular was one helluva fuckin statement of intent.

What we saw last night was a 2nd string side playing with the attitude and intensity which the first XI started the derby with. In many respects it was as important as the derby result in terms of what it signifies. What it showed me more than anything was that the squad have seen enough of the manager to buy into what he's trying to do and to go out and implement it.
TBH Billy, it could just be that squad players like Milner, Jovetic & Richards were out to impress and make a claim for a starting spot rather than the manager being a direct cause of the hunger we saw.

Although I take your point, you kind of make mine too. Whatever you take as the reasons behind the hunger and attitude, the reality is that it was present and correct. Of course the lads who came in will want to impress the manager, but all too often footballers at that level in games like that can't bring themselves to perform at their maximum.

I really get the feeling that the players are buying into Pellegrini's style of coaching. From his man management to his tactical ideas - I see players working much harder than they did all of last season and really the only time i've seen this group play like this was in the opening three months of the 11/12 season. That in itself is significant when assessing how the manager and players are adapting to each other.

Played some fantastic football and shown some real character, the team has responded very well to his appointment they all seem keen to address European failures and have the passion and determination to win. I was not expecting such results so early on in the season, but it has been a brilliant start. WIn away at Villa and start a run of form away from home and things will be good!

Having done the reigning premier league champions you've now set the bar at the reigning european champions. You've not left yourself much room to manoeuvre if we do them too ... :)
Why would I need to be manoeuvring if we did them?

You tell me buddy. You're the one who's can't get their knickers off after a rag drubbing and is holding out until we do the European champions.
You were saying.

Players let MP down today, nothing wrong with team selection, that team was good enough to beat anyone.
Like they should have beat Cardiff & Stoke as well performing much better against Hull.

We have underperformed in 3/6 games and of the 3 we haven't we have lost one of them.

If Mancini had been in charge he would be in front of the firing squad.
