Am sure it's the right decision. He stuck by Hart for quite a while, now it's time to try out the No 2. That's why we have a squad, after all...

Football at this level being what it is this decision could result in Joe losing his England place for good as well as his automatic first team spot for us - a high price for a few mistakes . Ask Casillas. Could be equally costly for Manuel when the reckoning comes.

Costly for manuel? Yeah, it will cost Manuel to lose his job if he does nowt about it and cost us the title.
Casillas being dropped by mourinho was more political than on form besides Diego Lopez is doing a fine job and deserves to continue.
No one is entitled a place in our first 11 or in the national team based on their reputation. It is always based on merit and it is privilege to be able to play. If he keeps making mistakes, he will not get selected for England either so he has to turn this around.
Sometimes, giving up and taking a step back the best way forward.
A simple point is being lost in all this profound discussion. Such apparent thoroughness being an indifferent substitute for logic.
The best keeper in England is being replaced by one who has never played a league game for us or anyone else, wants to be in Italy and has been dropped by mighty Romania in favour of a 36 year old Serie A reserve who also hasn't played a competitive match.
Manuel needs another poke in the eye if this blunder comes to pass.

If in fact Pellers does drop Joe then it sends a huge message to the whole squad that he has no favourites and everyone has to do the business if they want to keep their place. It won't do Joe any harm harm to step out of the limelight for a few games and it will give the manager huge respect in the eyes of the rest of the squad in my opinion.

Judging by his recent form he has not been the best keeper the manager has to manage and this what he is doing

On appointment,PellegrinI promised he would play form players and not be a slave to reputations. So far he has been a man of his word and dropping Hart is further proof of that.
A reserve goalkeeper lives for opportunities such as this, they feed off scraps.... and Panti deserves his chance to shine in a game that should be reasonably comfortable.

Removing the club and country no.1 is a huge call by Pellegrini,he will be doing it for the right reasons IMO and should be respected for such.

Pellegrini stuck by Hart after the Bayern game, picked him against Everton. I don't think anyone can say that he hasn't given Hart every chance to re-gain form. Its a difficult decision, could go either way. Clearly the manager has seen both goalkeepers in training, will be a better judge than outsiders on the affect that the mistakes have had on Hart's confidence. Have to respect his decision.

If the Bayern game is a dead rubber, that could be a good opportunity to bring Hart back, if only for one game. If the situation were reversed Costel would be expected to play so it wouldn't really a case of dropping him. And it would the sort of game where Hart would expect to have plenty to do which would be better than say Leicester where he might only get one shot to save.

Costel is largely unproven against opposition of any real quality. I wonder if Pelle would have picked him over Hart if we were playing Arsenal or Liverpool today ?

A Blue has just txt me to have a look online at Jamie Carraghers column in the Mail this morning, he asks the question ''would City fans have Mancini back''
Hes suggesting that we are going slightly backwards under Pellers and that he will never be as popular as Roberto.
Now i was a big Mancini fan but its about time we moved on now and we could do without retired average Scouse footballers sticking their noses in
