Amazing we're not bashing the manager for not playing Micah at centre half when the previous three managers have all also avoided playing him at centre half like the plague!
And that's before getting into national team managers...

11 points dropped and 7th in the league is a sorry state of affairs when you consider what we have spent and the players at our disposal. I would just like you to acknowledge That if this was mancinis start to a campaign there would be very very few positives from you Dave. I supposed you have to ride that horse to the finish line now though.

Just seen this beaut.

If you want to live in a Janet and John X factor world where not rating one manager automatically means you do rate the next one, then you do that. But don't drag me into it please.

Roberto Mancini is as relevant to this conversation as Kevin keegan.

Between this and the "Vincent Kompany is not a leader" posts in another thread I'm beginning to think a few people left their minds somewhere in Sunday evening and have only brought their bodies into Monday.

The Kompany stuff is so baffling, I just left without commenting on that discussion. It's like trying to argue with a Russian in Swahili. I have no ability to translate that idea.

He is supposed to be an improvement tho!!!

And didnt kolo play centre half last year when kompany was out...and then we sold him and now he is plsying fir a team who are above us

Like i said tacticslly fine...wrong peronnel

Agreed with bringing kolorov on though however not navas and that seemed to have a detrimementsl effect on the performance

I expect MP to ask for money to spend in January and I hope the club will back him with cash then. FFP considerations would be the only thing that might, IMO, hold them back.

I'd try for Casillas or get a precontract agreement with Valdes.

Agree with Billy that we should also visit Madrid for another attempt to get Pepe.

Like a great many people, I would also pitch in a serious bid for Baines.

I just think Pellegrini has now had a chance to see all his players to some degree and in January will be less precious about keeping some of them. I believe in the summer he blocked a few departures based on wanting a chance to see them/work with them first.

For my money we break the bank for a centre half ... and I agree we find a way to get Baines.

Like I said on the goalkeeping front I have no answers and I can't predict what will happen with Joe. Our consideration should be the long term view on him though. Has he lost it ? Or is this just a blip ? If it's a blip we have to back him ... if the club think he's lost it or never had it, then they'll have to sell him, because a benched Joe Hart for anymore than a few games will become problematic because of the attention it will bring to the club from the London press pack.

As far as Hart goes, I've always felt his shot-stopping and command of the box were excellent whilst his distribution was poor. Of late, his distribution is still poor and his command of the box has severely degraded. Frankly, I'm glad I'm not the one having to make the decision about him.
