I thought we played pretty well against Everton "stylish and attacking" being mentioned in numerous reports, that against a team who have won 5 out 6 games, defeated only by us.
We did ok, only ok. We went behind to some lacklustre defending (pattern here) could have conceded a penalty on another day. the biggest bright spot was they're our bogey team and were in form. I didnt watch that game opened mouthed at our irrepressable attacking intent.
You're right, until Chelsea
it was only the best we have played all season. I'm glad I'm not you.
Im only prepared to engage in football related discussion no need for any personal stuff. I see you fail to actually address what I said. Was it the expansive attractive gorgeous attacking football the likes of which our squad has proven they are capable of that saw the mighty everton torn apart or did we just win the game.

I wasn't being personal, I genuinely am glad I'm not you, if you didn't think we played well against Everton. If you really didn't, then there is little point engaging in football related discussion with you. We were very attacking, created a lot of chances, and could easily have scored 6, now check the league table, and check how many games Everton have lost so far.

All one of the key discussion points and views that has been put across by many on here who have been critical of what has happened under the new Management. The Criticism is around our away form and defence and how it has declined. I personally think the away form is no different than it has been over the last few years – well for a top side that is.

We have not had the best away record during the last 4 seasons and the start of this. Seems like we do have some sort of block with away games.
The season we won the league, We won 5 of the fit 7 away games, drawing the other 2 – the next 12 games we won 5, lost 5 and drew 2. Our home form has been exceptional over this period of time.

I’m sure when looking at the season we won the league – the first 7 games we were full on attacking away from home but were also conceding.
We scored 24 goals in the first 7 but let in 9 – with some dicey games at Fulham and QPR where when pressed we were easily conceding goals.

I think Mancini felt he had to go back to shutting up shop and tame down the attacking instinct.

We have now reverted back to attacking again which will leave us vulnerable at times. MP & the whole management team need to find the right balance between attack and defense, we have opened up our attacking instinct which has left us vulnerable at the back on the counter.

We have already lost 3 away from home so we can’t afford to lose anymore than say 2 more games. They do need to turn this around as we have some very hard games left. The jury is still out but for me the signs are promising.

I did an analysis of our away points v united (and/or the champions) for the last few years in a thread a month or so ago, as you say its not great, and generally not the away form of champions, even in the season we did win it. Our home form has been exceptional.

Im not interested in how many Everton have lost, Im more interested in how many we have and while were talking about looking at league tables are you happy looking at us sat in 7th having yet to play 4 of the 6 teams above us.

I repeat, I do not want Manuel out, but I think given the squad at his disposal we could and should be expecting more

Spin it the other way round - they still need to play us and we beat them then things will look entirely different - have faith

Chelsea, Rags and Newcastle (league) apart where have we played well, where.

Everton, 3-1 at home.

West Ham, 3-1 away.

CSKA, 2-1 away (Real Madrid drew there 1-1 last season).

Plzen, 3-0 away.

Wigan, 5-0 at home.

All good and pleasing performances, unless you are expecting perfect 6-0 wins every week.

LC is spot on.

Many pleasing performances and results so far this season .

I'm not unduly woried at this point no, but then I've been watching us play some good football, unlike you it seems. Am I worried about the daft goals we keep giving away ? well obviously I am, but I'm sure we'll tidy that up, and as we are scoring plenty, and not far points wise from the top, I think we're fine right now.
