Very likely that if we fail to make top four our big hitters will want away and you can kiss passing the FFP restrictions to boot. If so Txixi may aswell collect his P45 on his way to the airport.

If we fail to make the top 4 FFP won't matter anyway!

Just as the Mancini threads of last season became ever so tedious, as has this one. It's the exact same conversations between many of the same posters but inners are now outers and vice versa.

For what it's worth, I loved Mancini and what he did for us and whilst he might have been more charming and fan-friendly than the reserved Pellegrini, I still think the right decision was made and I believe we'll definitely make top 4, I also think we'll win the league.

Tell me, are those mushrooms your taking giving you headaches?

despite my misgivings regarding the sacking of mancini pelligrini was a decent replacement at the time, he still may be. my beef is all this mid table shit could so been avoided by keeping mancini in the first place. people would be miffed or will have left but one thing for certain we'd be top of the league.

I'm not sure if Vinny and several other key first team players leaving would've ensured we were top of the league mate ... ;)

one thing I detest is player power. besides they signed for Manchester city and not for mancini. we are the only club in world football that can throw them in with the stiffs and buy new ones. look at the rags with the granny shagger. they had no choice but to suck his dick when he threw a strop. we don't have to do that with ANY player. mancini and his manmanagement is no different to pelligrini, do what you like but win stuff. well i'm not convinced that mr nice will win us anything, that's not just this manager but any. these players are at the top of the game and have ego's to match. suck up to them and they'll lead you a dance.

we have just blown the best chance ever of dominating the cash cow that is association football.

It's not about sucking up to players though ... it's about treating them with respect. It's far too easy to see it as black and white ... Mancini too harsh ... Pellegrini too soft. The truth is somewhere in between.

Also, player power exists when players have too much power and can get a manager the sack. That's not what happened at City. Mancini's relationships not just with certain players, but with the board of directors, was severely damaged.

To be successful you need an organisation where everyone is pulling in the same direction.

My main gripe with Pellegrini is that I think he rushed in the changes to the defensive system. I know the vogue is "a high line with pressing" and I know that he had to change the defensive system to fit the attacking system. And I can forgive him for switching from zonal marking to man for man. That hasn't worked too badly since Cardiff.

But its all been a bit too chaotic. We seem to have the high line without the pressing. And without the defensive players suited to play it. In a way its been rather like Bob's 3 at the back. A system that the players should be able to adapt to, but seem to find alien.

Not particularly, are the ones you're taking affecting your grammar, or is it always poor?

What bothers me slightly is we are not really playing any differently than last season, i just dont this beautiful football that Pellagrini promised, Navas has hardly influenced a game apart from when we played United, apart from free kicks Yaya has gone backwards as has the whole defensive unit because of the high line and pushed on fullbacks.

We look very very predictable, tbh im shocked at how easily teams can trouble us.

-- Fri Nov 15, 2013 2:37 pm --

Numbers are more my game petal, but hey you keep creaming your pants about apostrophes and keep dreaming about top four.

I've got a maths degree, doesn't stop me from understanding the English language.

If you really think we won't make the top 4, that it's just a dream, why not put your money where your mouth is?

For you two number crunchers, here is an equation;

If one man has one mushroom and another man has another mushroom, why don't you two stop arguing like a bunch of c***s?

Some of us believe Pellegrini will improve things, all of us agree things are not good enough now. I look at points not position, we are still more than capable of winning the league. And top 4 will be achieved.

Our injury problems are no different than last season. The squad is big enough - we should cope.

Mate ... you wrote this, and several posts like it in April of this year regarding injuries during last season. You were adamant that they had played their part in our struggles.

Our biggest problem this season has been injuries. Last season we had a good run. This season a bad run.

Personally I thought we were very lucky last season with injuries and this season has shown that our squad with only around 18 top-quality players is not deep enough. Especially in the AM department.

Refresh my memory. How many players did we buy during the window to replace the 1 who left.

When you say 1 are you referring to Tevez, Barry, Sinclair, Maicon or Kolo?

Plus one of the 5 was bought to replace Balotelli, even though he left in January.
