Tried to stay away as been busy and find that international fortnight results in stuff just being dragged out unnecessarily, however having flick-read the last few pages it has to be said that SHB has confirmed his position as a comedy poster and fib is an utter loon.

I'll admit I have doubts about MP but am not going to lose the plot quite so quickly as some on here, it truly is unreal some of the shite posted over the last few days.

He does have a valid point though. The 1st and 2nd place teams in that league are almost known before the season begins. It's just which order the season ends that is up for debate.

Yet he uses the fact Pellegrini didn't win a trophy at Villarreal or Malaga as a stick to beat him with?

That was the only other European League that Pellegrini has managed in; do either of you see the irony there. Even more ironic then that Pellegrini manged to split the two horses with Villareal.

So what we seem to get is that his record in spain can't count because it is a two horse race and of course all his trophies in South America count for nothing.

About 40 pages of this thread is pointless tripe. People should just make their point, and we can then choose to agree or disagree, in which case reply courteously if the reader thinks there is a comment to be made which adds to the discussion. Name calling or other insults does nothing to add to a forum, other than to illustrate the foolishness of the person who chooses to respond this way. The best way to respond to a controversial point is to think like a barrister and to prod into an argument. Eventually, the perpetrator will undo his own argument and then we can all move on.
