Discuss Pellegrini

Billy,
I PM'd you - you didn't even have the manners or courtesy to reply.
That's fine by me. You know my seat number if you ever want say hello ;-)
(but somehow I don't think you ever will.)

Christ are you really that needy? ifiwasarichfan sent me a PM a few days back, took me 24 hours to reply. Didsbury Dave sent me one in late July which I only got round to replying to a week or so ago. You sent yours less than an hour ago. So I haven't replied yet. It happens, it's nothing personal.<br /><br />-- Thu Aug 29, 2013 8:17 pm --<br /><br />

He owes me a pie as a wager from a few weeks ago and if I go to the Derby I've been promised I can cash it in.

fwiw he seems like a decent chap from what I can see, but you know me, I get along with everyone.

And how have you deduced that I owe you a pint ?

I'm going to be at the derby too. Maybe if you want you can claim your pint and pie at the same time and play referee whilst me and the poster who doesn't like paragraphs play "my dick's bigger than yours" ...
I said curry and I was speaking figuratively seeing as you wimped out last time.

Happy for you to buy me a pint though and watch a beautiful Bluemoon rapprochement as Davs watches me eat my pie.

Ah curry you say ... yes, then I certainly figuratively owe you one. Lets do this. Viva rapprochement!

One of them owes me a pie and the other owes me a curry.

If I get you a balti pie does that cover both?
Why would a balti pie cover a pie and a curry ffs? ;-)

For nearly 6 fucking quid I'd expect it to cover both - with an ice cold cobra thrown in for good measure.. :-)

Pellegrini seems to be less popular among City fans after two games than he was among real madrid fans by the end of the season, when he was sacked. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.marca.com/marca/debate/2010/03/822/prevotaciones822.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.marca.com/marca/debate/2010/ ... es822.html</a>
( and they are a demanding bunch that had AS and MARCA tv, radio, web and the printed version telling them how shit Pellegrini was all season long) <a class="postlink" href="http://www.ferplei.com/2010/05/las-15-portadas-de-marca-que-han-marcado-a-pellegrini/pellegrini_destacado9/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.ferplei.com/2010/05/las-15-p ... estacado9/</a> <a class="postlink" href="http://www.fulltimedeportes.com/2013/05/los-de-marca-unos-sinverguenza.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fulltimedeportes.com/2013/05 ... uenza.html</a>

Patience ,people, patience, keep supporting your team and maybe give your new manager a chance.

Besides, City can always rehire Mancini, i think he will be available anyway ;)

the vast majority of city fans are fully behind him and know he is an upgrade to mancini. don't listen to a few bitter posters on here

Correct that the vast majority are behind him, and so we should be. As for an upgrade on Mancini, we'll wait and see. Even if there are genuine questions to be asked regarding his management methods, anybody claiming he's not successful will be the ones coming across as bitter.

I think the problem is that the vast majority of city fans don't know much about Pellegrini, really.
Some of the things i've read are ridiculous, it amazes me how some people understimate him.
I really taught city fans would be more supportive of their manager.

Anyway i think Pellegrini is going to make something special at City, and whether city fans, media, or MP "fans", like it or not, he probably is going to stay there for a while, so we all should get use to it.

(sorry for my english :P)

Please tell us what are the 'ridiculous things' you have read on this forum regarding Pellegrini?
All of the 'fans' are 100% behind him and highly supportive of him.
We had a very bad result in our last game and the people on here like to discuss and debate the topical points.

Some Pellegrini relevant stuff from behind the Telegraph pay wall:

“The most important thing was to change the environment of Carrington,’’ said Begiristain, speaking in Monaco after City were drawn against Bayern, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen. “Now the atmosphere is very good. There’s a lot of confidence.’’

Begiristain chose his words carefully, deliberately avoiding criticising Mancini, who achieved a lot at the club, including winning the FA Cup and Premier League. Mancini remained popular with the fans until the end, and placed an advertisement in the Manchester Evening News thanking them for their support over “three unforgettable years’’. They reciprocated with a £7,000 advertisement in Gazzetta dello Sport.

Yet there were clearly some tensions in the dressing room. Mancini could be either cold or confrontational at times. Manuel Pellegrini is a more inclusive character. “This kind of manager gives a lot of confidence to the players and we are recovering the confidence of the players who were really down last season,’’ continued Begiristain. “That was really important.

“You can talk about his style of play, his experience in the Champions League and his background is really good. There’s more width and the full-backs play more forward.

"We are happy with the manager’s tactics. The manager has a lot of experience in the Champions League. We are now in the right situation to think that we will do a very good Champions League. We want the expectation. It means people think we have a very good squad and opponents think we are stronger than last season.’’

Have you managed to sleep at all in the last three years?

Pathetic to be honest. I think we must have the biggest bunch of mard arse players in the Premiership bar none.
And if we don't qualify from this CL group then serious questions need to be asked of all concerned.
As a match going City fan of almost 50 years this lot are starting to seriously piss me off!

You can always find a club or sport more to your liking ... the nature of our squad/players won't be changing anytime soon. Nor will the people who run the club.
