I scared of the fucking WHU game right now. Bit of pressing, bit of long balls, lot of desire and imo they could walking away with a result. They know we are down at the moment, they will raise their game, and no matter how mediocre squads they have , desire and workrate and a basic tactical gameplan is more than enough these days to hurt us or even rip us apart.

He needs to go, I don't blame him for all of it. I mean you could spend all day screaming at Yaya to defend and he wouldn't. But the fact that he doesn't change things when it's not going well or waits far too long e.g. last week waiting so long to sub off players who just couldn't get going, not changing the game plan today: look at the way we were when they had the ball, the players rarely bothered to close them down.

He doesn't adapt and that's what frustrates me the most, I understand we want to play a certain way but I don't think that's as literal as 1 plan fits all. Everyone from the opposition to pundits to myself can see the problems but he's never sorted them at all. The defending is shambolic, they're about as organised as a hoarder's loft and until he gets fired I can't see it getting any better.

Really think Txiki and Soriano find themselves with a nightmare scenario.

They brought in Pellegrini for 3 years till Pep was free. Last season was superb this season, has been slowly teetering towards disaster.

The initial plan was to keep Manuel till next summer. I'm guessing after recent results they were looking for a plan B for next season. After today we need an immediate change. Top 4 is at serious risk as quite simply too many players won't play for him anymore. A change of manager might make a difference. Doing nothing will simply see us slide into 5th.

Yep, they have an dilemma alright. They should give Kidd and PV the rest of the season, see how they do. If they do well, give them a season.

You can't base your next managerial appointment on six games, this is why paddy should have been given the job a couple of months back

I can't see him lasting this week, the top 4 is seriously under threat now and our form not just over the past few weeks but since new year puts doubt as to whether Manuel will be able to get enough wins to get over the line.

I think he has lost the dressing room and has no motivational power over the players, not that he ever had it in abundance in the first place.

Vieira in for the rest of the season.

Vieira turns the job down and then what? Pellegrini may be gone in the summer but there is still 6 games left.

Sadly.. it's got to be by bye , Pellers asap.. and also F Off Yaya asap

BK to take over

no Yaya or any other lazy passengers

Let's face it they are not playing for him (which to my minds makes them CUNTS) one thing today has brought home to me is what it is like to be beat in the derby. Next season we again will be the major force in the Manchester area and nothing will stop that, let the rag twats have their day as they are far and few between now a days.
Onward and upwards with or without MP :-)

Sad to say but he needs to go now , not least to see if the temporary manager, with fresh ideas, can get any more from the current players. It would be a shame to get rid of players who may have been adversely affected by Pellis ideas/treatment. Pity there are not more matches to play.
look at it this way, rwice in a row we took title, next season all at sea, well least bob got us up there, 2 different managers same players, roughly. common denominator is the players. certain players are just as responsible if not more, thank mp for what hes done, but sadly his time is up, we need either a strong manager that can stand up to the dressing room, or root and branch sort out, either way it may get messy

I agree with this and it bothers me. I don't have any blind devotion to Pellegrini if I get up tomorrow and he has gone so be it. It grates on me that people seem to accept the players have decided to down tools again or not playing for him, some even saying they don't blame them. If it was once maybe but twice with completely different managers it's not right. People will say he should motivate the players, it's his job. I would question whether players who have played at the highest standards of football should need that much motivating. Surely the position we find ourselves in at the moment should be enough. They are not children. People blame Pellegrini's calm manner but let's not forget Mancini would be apoplectic on the touchline and that didn't do him much good with them either. I am not absolving either managers of blame but be honest what we watched today was dire and I hold the players barring Fernandinho and Aguero as responsible if not more.

Of course they need motivating; everyone does. It doesnt matter if they are adults, children, good players, bad players, well paid or not.
It is 100% part of the managers job - and he is doing it very poorly.

Vieira turns the job down and then what?

As if he would turn it down, he wins all the games and he is a contender for the job permanently, if not he can go back working with the EDS.

Anything is better than Pellegrini at the moment in my opinion.
