I was watching him closely because I adored him at City. When in possession makes a short dash forward to find space, or simply stands still in the space. Excellent first touch enables him to look up and execute pass after pass like a metronome. Out of possession always gets goal side, presses, wins the ball back quickly. Just superb. Shameful that we allowed a player of that quality to leave.[/Q

At least txixi and mp replaced him with fernando

We have had that conundrum since they signed imo. We win stuff because we are brilliant at football, but Yaya, Silva, Nasri etc etc are not the group you would pick to play together in a team formation, if you had a blank sheet of paper. But the same players in a weird & wonderful Pep system may be an entirely different matter (if they are still here).

I wonder what he would make of the front two non pressing tonight. Awful.

Guess that's one of the disadvantages of having too many great players. They'll want game time so the manager will have no choice but to play them in their unfavourable positions

Just got back. Another predictable one-dimensional performance. We play the same tactics every week home or away. Pellegrini is not at the level we require to move forward as a club. I actually don't think we have anything to lose by confirming Pep now and putting a caretaker in till the end of the season. Sergio's gesture to the bench when Fernando came on tells you everything you need to know about what the players think. Funnily enough I believe we will win the second leg despite the manager but only because we have some brilliant individuals in the team and we are actually good at all-out attack. The problem is that to achieve lasting and sustainable success you have to have a wider range of ideas and intelligent leadership.

MP needs to go ASAP.
Get an interim manager in for the rest of the season or put Kiddo in charge till then, we can't carry on like this as the season will peter out into nothing. It seems like none of the players are giving 100%, they appear to be lost at the moment.

yep , but if we win on saturday and progress to the FA Cup 4th round , beat Everton next week and got top of the league , and win the 2nd leg 1-0 , it will mean we are well placed to win 4 competitions , so i will let him stay for another few weeks.

One thing you can be sure we will lose if we announce that, is Pep

What happened with Aguero ?

If it's known that pep is coming in house which seems to be the case, then I have to question the players.

This is now a shop window and they're not delivering.

Think some of our squad are coming to the end, some big players as well.

Biggest job for Pep so far. Not everything is rosy in this garden and some players will be on there way.

Agree.
