I said that our points total was the lowest for 5 seasons and MP's defenders came back with all sorts of figures to say that was disingenuous as we were only 3 points behind the leaders blah, blah, blah.

Well here's the table with our results against each team:

We haven't beaten any team above tomorrow's opponents and have just 2 points from the games against the other 6 teams in the top seven. I'l say it again, I don't care what other teams have done - for us, it's not good enough.

Yet but with half the season to go still virtually, it could and hopefully will change.

If we go on to win the league no fucker will give a shit about the first half of the seasons form and it certainly wont taint winning it.

We laugh at the scousers for lifting the December or March PL title yet we are busy proclaiming doom and gloom for losing the September or December PL title.

They dont exist.

All that matters is where we end up after that final whistle in May and we have shown we know how to get over the line by hook or by crook.

Another shit disingenuous post so you can stamp your foot and say "not good enough". If you want to discuss it like an adult send me a PM.
Not sure how it's disingenuous. It's our actual results against actual teams.

Look mate, I respect your views but just let it go. All you have to say is "When you look at it like that, then I agree it isn't good enough." You'll feel so much better than you do when tying yourself into knots trying to defend a decent but limited manager.

But our form in the here and now is what's worrying. That's why some of us are disappointed. Of course it's possible to go on a run and win the league and of course all the poor games will be forgotten about, but, we are not playing anywhere near our full potential at the moment and in a season where nobody's really taken control, it seems like an opportunity missed at the moment.

Rather than agreeing with you simply to fall in line with the prevailing winds I'll go with the highlighted bit above.

Doesn't the fact nobody has taken control suggest it may no be justus and the standard throughout the league has narrowed, with team like Leicester, West Ham Stoke and Palace having some very good players. I go back to Mourinho seeing it and predicting at the start of the season that the top teams would drop more points this year and the title winners would have a lower points total than previous years. Even the teams at the bottom like Bournemouth and Newcastle are capable of a good result against anybody.

Nah Silva's a genius. Shit form or no shit form no one can argue that.
Well then play him.

Giving him 20 mins against Everton I just don't understand. It appears that Pellegrini seems willing to drop Silva and De Bruyne for rest, or mythical injury and yet Toure plays every week. I don't understand that.

But the players attitude is very questionable. The captain is out and despite my criticism of his attitude last season, at the start of this season he was flying. No one seems able to provide leadership on the pitch in his absence. That is above all else what is required. You cannot wait until the half time team talk to start playing. On Pellegrini's part, why can't he change things in the 1st half when he can see its not happening. Pull someone off if need be.

That's got nothing to do with our own poor performances so no, I don't think it suggests anything. I accept that most teams have improved over the last couple of years but a lot of the games we've dropped points was down to ourselves rather than coming up,against a quality side.

We're playing like Arsenal of two years ago happy in 2nd or 3rd spot.
