He literally just won us that game vs Sevilla..
Yes, after setting us up very badly for the game.
I really like MP 80-90% of the time. Its just every now and then that he seems to make absurd selection decisions that I just cannot fathom.

Thought this was about yaya?Yes, after setting us up very badly for the game.

I think there's a wider issue with Toure. And that is that in the system we play his passing from deep is crucial to our attacking play. One of the reasons we created little yesterday for me was because Nando and Dinho with the best will in the world aren't really deep lying playmakers in the way Yaya is. Only once did Toure make a pass like you'd expect if was playing from deep, and it led to our best chance of the first half. He kept the ball on the left, rode through a couple of challenges and saw the pass to De Bruyne which opened up the space on the right. His finish was piss weak though when KDB fed the ball back to him (what's happened to our finishing this season?).
Short term I think he'll continue to play in a two against 90% of the teams we face. Long term we need to stop thinking about replacing him with a like for like player because that's frankly never going to happen. We need to focus on finding a player with his passing range who's natural position is in centre mid. All the added bonuses that Toure brings we can do without if we have someone with his passing range.
Exactly.
We should be and I'm sure we are scouting for someone who can dictate from deep with the energy and defensive capability that the CL requires. Unfortunately those players are as rare as rocking horse shit. Modric is the only one I can think of who could come in and do it straight away but he's 30 now and there's no way that Real would let him go. I don't know how Gundogan is getting on post back injury but he'd be worth a look too.

I would look at Pjanic , who would be gettable, only 25
The dream scenario would be either Veratti or Kroos but would be difficult to get either.
If we can get Pep next summer then Thiago could be an option
Do most blues want Pep? I personally don't like the idea of a manager who doesn't want to stay at a club for a prolonged period. I would rather keep MP for as long as humanly possible I know he isn't the most charismatic or have a cabinet stocked with trophies like pep. But I think he can get them trophies whilst managing us and also seems like a really calm guy to have at the helm.
Pjanic could definitely do that job. I'd be delighted to see him at City.I would look at Pjanic , who would be gettable, only 25
We will never have a manager at city longer than 3 seasons times have changed top clubs like Madrid Barcelona Bayern rarely stick with a manager long, it's the foundations behind the manager that's keeps everything consistent
