If we are that shit at defending, how come Joe keeps getting golden glove.
Now i understand we were garbage today, but to harp on about us being
shit at defending, all the time, is not factually correct. We've had some games
where there have been some right rickets. But we've had a lot where we have
been solid and looked OK. I don't get this we're shit, period and it's all Pellegrini's
fault. His tactics/formations in some of the big games have been questionable
and he is not beyond reproach, but to blame him for every goal we concede
is not right.
Totally agree we are clearly not shit defensively.

We have faced 3 European teams in pre season and only conceded 10. I don't know what people expect sometimes.

That always baffled me, we won the title with Kompany and Lescott and the next season he hardly got a kick, was there ever any revelations of any shit going on behind the scenes between Mancini and Lescott.

I reckon Bobby didn't trust him after that shambolic header against QPR.

I think we'll be fine tbh, maybe we won't set the world alight and there are clearly some issues that need sorting, in regards to todays result, I'm hoping it's all down to fatigue, the lads have put in some serious air miles in the last week or so. Maybe mentally looking forward to West Brom.

I don't agree with this at all. We started well 11-12 but went straight downhill after new year. Beat over two legs by Liverpool in the League Cup and beaten by Utd in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup at home. We also finished 3rd behind Napoli in our CL group. The season was rescued because we put a run together in the last 6 games and even then we struggled to beat QPR at home a team which had the worst away record in the PL.

13/14 team won the Premier League & League Cup, got to the quarter final of the FA Cup, became the first City team to get past the CL group stage and scored the most goals by an English club in all comps in the history of English football. We had a shaky spell early on where we didn't do well away but after that we were solid for most of the season.

Conclusion is your full of crap.

We finished with more points in 2011-12 and we were robbed by poor referring in both domestic cups. We destroyed the rags and spuds away 1-6 and 1-5 respectively and won 18 out of 19 home league games whilst drawing the other one. We wouldn't have won the league in 2013-14 but for Slippy Steve. Chelsea did the double over us.

Conclusion is you're an arsehole.

Fatigue! The season hasn't started yet. When you fly first or business class it is not tiring, you get off the plane fresh. The seat changes into a bed, it is not cattle class and you are not fatigued. Funny how RM were not fatigued.

I would suggest no one thinks we are crap at defending but like all things it is relative and as we are competing with Chelsea last year then that is our barometer as is our record with similar personnel over the preceding seasons. We did fall short in a number of games last year and finished with the fifth best defensive record which is a bit of an anomaly for a team finishing second.

I thought Nastssic was useless along with Savic but Bob preferred both to Lescott.

I must admit I saw Nastasic differently. For a 19 year old, walking into a new league I thought he did fantastically well. Even seasoned internationals like Silva took longer to settle
