Fucking hell, are people seriously questioning his ability after this result? We just beat Sevilla away, we're top of the league, we're the first English club to qualify for the group stages of the CL, and we're still in the Carling/Milk/League Cup. Oh, and even our harshest critics say we play some of the best, if not the best, football in the league.

We've suddenly got some entitled fuckers following us.

And very fickle ones at that

That's not what I asked, why can't you answer a simple question?

With our squad, a title winning team that he inherited, what has he achieved that goes beyond what would have been expected?

You're beating Pep with such a stick, I'm interested to hear why you don't think Pellegrini deserves your cynicism.

It was a team that just lost the title by a fair margin with an unhappy dressing room, and his signings played a vital role in us becoming champion that year, and yes you would expect city to win the title but its clearly not given as it is in german league. I am not beating guordiola with any stick i am just saying he hasnt acheived anything great over there, he is a fantastic manager no doubt but i dont see the point of replacing pellers with him, especially when our team has been doing so well given the constant injury crisis we find ourself in.

One poster stated he wouldn't swap Pellegrini for Guardiola, I find that a very naive yet interesting thing to say and wish to discover how they can justify that thinking.

I have not once stated Pellegrini should be sacked so I'd like to think all the posters generalizing such things are not referring to this discussion.

It's not about an interesting discussion because on the Pep thread it's been held long before. It's about the timing. And the timing stinks. Big time.

He's acheived back to back titles with a squad you say should do so.

You also say with our team you would expect us to win the league but we failed last year.

Now that's not to say Pellegrini is thus awful but that it's not so easy and black/white. It's easy to say what should happen and not to go out and do it. Yet it does appear easy for Bayern and Barca and whats the common denominator? You have used numerous excuses to beat Pep with both Barca and Bayern yet they apply to Pellegrini as well. Pep has won 5 trophies in 2 years at Bayern and 14 in 4 seasons at Barca yet didn't achieve anything he wasn't supposed to. Pellegrini wins 2 trophies in 2 years and by your logic exceeds our expectations.

If we had Pep and we won the treble in his first season, would you say "look at our squad, what else do you expect"? I think you would.

So when someone says they wouldn't swap Pellegrini for Pep, I'm not allowed to question and discuss it?

Sorry, I wasn't aware.

Sorry you're not too clever apparently...
If you don't want to read about or engage in said discussion, do you know what you should do?

Not read or engage in it. Timing has fuck all to do with it, would it be better at midday Wednesday?

having watched city for nearly 50 years and seen some clueless managers ( not enough time to write down ) i am more than happy with MP and trust him with his team selection and tactics i think he has a bit more experience than most of us, so my advise is trust the guy and get behind him.
