It's always the defensive stats that make me chuckle. They show that the way we play is not only ridiculously effective in the attacking third but that in the defensive third it's not half as haphazard and loose as its often characterized as.

MP is a manager who will be missed far more when he's gone than people realize. Especially if Pep isn't his replacement.

I would go as far and say even if Pep is his replacement

I have been critical of the man at times to be fair, but it's obviously he places an enormous amount of trust in his players, he wants us to press, and how we played v Chelsea was a perfect execution of his tactics.

The fact that United, who play with two defensive midfielders, have only conceded one goal less than us, is a testament to him.

I think this season will decide everything abt manuel, it really is a big gamechanger

A title, cup and a good cl run and everyone will be smiling from mansour downwards

Its such a big season.

It is, but to be fair to him, I doubt any other manager would eclipse what we have done so far this season, we've already qualified for the next round of the Champions League, have a favourable draw at home in the quarter final of the capital one cup, and we're sat top of the toughest league in the world. All doing so scoring a huge amount of goals, playing some breathtaking football, and missing the two best players in the league for over 6 weeks.

I understand all that and can agree, then again all will be irrelevant if its a fruitless campaign

As Mr Al Mubarak has pointed out a couple of times its trophies which are required for this club, I do think we will achieve our goals this season.

When you manage a big club every season is a big season and an important season. Doesn't dimish your previous achievements.

As a supporter you should t have the same requirements as the owners. It's their money and they have to look after the bigger picture. Last season was fine for us as supporters. At least for normal supporters. Some seasons you'll win loads some seasons you'll win nowt.

Also worth noting that although the season wasn't good enough for the owners the manager didn't pay with his job. Very telling.
