Why are people using this "we're in the qf of the League Cup, in the next phase of the Champions League & may well win the Premier League" as an argument to excuse that fucking disgusting shambolic piece of shit management we saw on Saturday ? Or some of his other fuckups ?

Are people really suggesting that we would be struggling with this squad, if it wasn't for Pellegrini ? That it's only his brilliance which rescued our clueless players v Seville & Borussia, when we were playing like shite & getting turned over ? Or it was his brilliance which rescued us v Newcastle when we were bing ripped apart at the back ?

Really ? If we had Van Ghunt as manager, we would be mid table & struggling to qualify ? Or Koemann wouldn't be able to compete for anything with this squad ? Or Pinocchio or even fucking Martinez ? We'd be happy if Martinez took over & set us up like that v Liverpool, because he's managed to drag us up to 3rd in the league ?

If Kevin Keegan took over this fucking squad tomorrow, we would compete for all the domestic trophies & do a similar topsy turvy job. Mancini would do this or better. So would Benitez or any **** with any half decent managerial ability.

Pellegrini has showed us once this season, what he can do with tactics & nous, away at Seville. That was management, top class, management. The rest of the time, thiis season Harry fucking Redknapp could have done exactly the same job, & we wouldn't be any worse off, at all.

He has at his disposal, some of the best players ever to play in this country. We SHOULD be competing for every trophy, under any manager who comes here. The great manager, should now have us running clear at te top of the league, based on the fixtures we have played. Our loss at Spurs was a fucking disgrace as was the stupidity of allowing a Juve team who came for a draw, score 2 goals without even having to take a risk, to do it.

Any **** could have City where they are now. What he should be doing, is pulling unexpected results out of the bag, not getting fucking hammered unexpectedly.

Bravo sir,bravo

Now now, you know what I meant and to this day, despite me not being one of Mancini's biggest fans i am angry at the way Mario treated and behaved for a man who did everything and staked so much on him.
Well at least we agree on that score. Balotelli had the tools to become a footballing superstar and Mancini placed his faith in him and all he got in return from Balo was a big fat du du splattered in his face. I can't ever recall a time when Balotelli was put before the interest of the team which is what your original post was suggesting. Now placing your faith in an undoubted talent is another matter altogether.

Throughout the summer there were rumours that Balo had issued a sorrowful come and get me plea toward Mancini. Yes they are reunited at the San Siro, but as we all know Balo's with Milan and Mancini's with Inter and I think that's about as close as they'll ever get again which tells us all we need to know where Bobby stands in Balotelli.

Mate, Sagna and Mangala had the Paris trauma to deal with and although Fernandinho, De Michelis and Otamendi only returned on Friday, it doesn't hide the truth that we essentially went 424 against a Klippety side who guessed what we were likely to do and prepared for it. Unfortunately for us the damage was done from the moment the team sheet was formulated and the formation decided upon.

If Yaya and Fernando in a midfield two didn't work last season, on what planet was it going to work this? You reap what you sow.........

I wouldn't argue with you about the formation. I was just trying to fathom why he didn't change it earlier. Most managers seem reluctant to use up their substitutions too quickly and with the Aguero substitution being almost pre ordained, it might have affected his mindset.

The one think I don't really understand is his use of De Bruyne. It seems to me that when the midfield comes under severe pressure as it did in the first half on Saturday, the obvious thing to do would be to drop De Bruyne a bit deeper, even if for no more than 15 mins, just to help man the barricades. But Pellegrini seems to view De Bruyne as an out and out attacking player. Surely he has the skill set to play a deeper role if required?

Nev has nailed it with his last couple of posts,he's certainly captured my thinking and feelings regarding Pellegrini.Saturdays performance was down to him and its the final straw for me,for a supposed elite manager he has made some remarkably naive and bizarre decisions over the past couple of seasons, his tactics are very often detrimental to our strengths and against a decent outfit our weaknesses get exposed with ease.Saturdays game was embarrassing,it keeps getting repeated but almost to a man,the peopke around me were flabbergasted at his player selection and, even more so.......at his refusal to changd anything until we had been well and truly humiliated by a far inferior, but much harder working and better organised, team.
Why does he continue to repeat his mistakes??? Its fucking infuriating..........once bitten twice shy is a phrase that is obviously unused in Chile.

Someone said it last night and cant remember who but Pellegrini and to an extent us as fans just EXPECT us to dominate possession every game and when it doesn't happen like its starting to now with increasing regularity its a bit of a shock.

Pellegrini has to wake up and expect it may well happen during the build up to a game and in the making of his plans or at the very least, be prepared to make the change as soon as it happens in a game and not just sit there expecting the players to somehow work it out.

Sevilla was a revelation and for most of us, possibly the start of a new era for this side and an awakaning as to whats required to succeed against the very best consistently but since then its reverted back to slow, slow football again which just about fucks every single one of us off more than anything.

Well this is what flummoxed me! We were getting mullered in midfield but Aguero and KDB were just running from side to side along the half way line and not helping. Gary Neville kept pointing this out, the fans could see it and probably everyone else and even Pellegrini can't have failed to see it, but Pelletrini just sat there as cold and as grey as the skies above and did nothing which was so reminiscent of Bayern at home 2 years ago.

Perhaps it was just like Gary Neville said in his recent Podcast where he surmised that rather than damage squad morale by hooking off players midway through the first half, Pellegrini looked at the bigger picture and thought maintaining squad morale for the rest of the season would be more beneficial in the long-term than doing what was obviously necessary to rescue this match and risk damaging it.

I suppose there's a moral in there somewhere, but for me it doesn't detract from the fact that many fans had a feeling of impending doom from the moment the team sheet was read out. The mistakes were made before we'd even stepped onto the pitch and unfortunately, we reaped what we sowed.

Saturday was appalling and there is no way of getting away from that.

Nobody is even trying to.

I know mate, I've been behind him so far this season but it fucking left me seething that game, never had such a sore throat after a game before!

I just don't know what goes through is head mate, it was up there with playing Milner in a two v Barcelona so he does it in the biggest games not just PL games, we can do an awful lot better than him fella, it better had be Pep after we passed on Klopp-who incidentally will have Liverpool as challengers for the league within two seasons.

Not subbing him at Arsenal in 2012?
Maybe, I don't recall that particular game but like I said we all make mistakes, its when those mistakes are repeated over and over again that gets to me and many other fans.

A mistake is only a mistake if you don't learn by it. If you do learn its called experience and you know not to make that mistake again and that goes for Mancini or Pellegrini.

It was a performance that has changed a few minds and opinions on the manager, mine included and whilst I'm still not in the i want him gone camp, he needs to get his shit sorted and together and fast.

I want that Sevilla performance every week. Pace, pressing, intensity, it really did have it all and the days of possession for possession sakes or our best over 50's walking football impersonation have to go as it does nothing for the vast majority of us and given the way the opposition are now coming at us every week, will do nothing for results either.

Pellegrini has it in him, he showed us that but its down to him to do it and it starts the next game and it needs to carry on.

The very best teams work just as hard off the ball as they do on it. Nothing happens by luck, its down to sheer hard work coupled with the obvious talent and skill but right now, we just don seem to want to work hard enough.
