if we already have Pep sealed in our pocket then we should sack him yes...Viera would have beeen the perfect fill in. Giving injuries as an excuse are comments from a desperate man. that team should not have played so limp and that's on his head, no excuses. By saying "we have injuries' it is an excuse to fail.
As Mike Tomlin from the Pittsburgh Steelers would say "the standard is the standard, no excuses"..unfortunately our standard when things arent going our way is rubbish.

There is no right or wrong answer as its all about opinions, but to make it clear I think we have the strongest squad in the league and have had for the last 3 seasons.

The point I'm trying to make is that a good manager will get good performances equal to the sum of their parts. A great manager has the ability to get great performances greater than the sum of the parts at his disposal, so where would you place Manuel?

Another question: Do you feel Manuel is getting the most out of the players he has available?
sorry but that is just too simplistic as there are far too many variables involved. To answer your question though, no, I don,t think he is getting the best out of them,
. Not sure why you wanted to try and steer me down that road when my argument is on our perceived squad depth. Gen question back to you, what does a good squad mean in your book

Some people might be fickle but some people have been pointing out his weaknesses since very early on in his reign as manager....and he has still failed to address them. His approach leads us wide open to counter atracks and twams that press and he tries to play in the same fashion regardless of who we are playing and whuch players are available.

He is so rigid in his approachcand thar will be his downfall and thats his fault

Got to agree with you, I won't look at the match day thread again, finding the whole place hard work, have we forgotten who we are? It's a club I love, win or not, let's face it most of us have been through a lot worse.
Then you will know that the matchday thread is posted upon live time and therefore attracts all of the same emotion that people have at the match. Its just a normal, livetime, match watching experience that is not to be taken that seriously, or not to be considered in the way that we discuss other things on the forum. No need to give up on the forum or think it hard work based on that.

I think it's the volume that's the difference. Yes this happens all over football and all over football forums, but it's not an either-or situation. The choice isn't this or constant pragmatism, there are markers in between which can be hit. We can be emotive and a bit mad but when it's not 50% a bit mad but 90% a bit mad then it's always going to draw criticism. The problem as well is that it's not something that can sort itself out because you reach a critical mass whereby when you start losing the more pragmatic posters the tips that scale a little bit again. How many times have we said either jokingly or serious "think I'll give the forum a miss for a few days given the result!"? Others will be saying it too. If it's got bad enough that regulars are saying it then it's gotten pretty bad.

Just maybe you're in a minority, the sensible 10% or at least in your mind.
I quite like the over emotional posters on here, at least they don't pontificate. It's all laid out bare!

Injuries are killing us, if we could just put out a team of seasoned internationals that cost a few hundred million then we could compete with the likes of Stoke and villa, some might say pellegrini is a wage thief but no that team today cannot compete with the huge resources of Staffordshires best

your trying to suggest I said that the players don't give a fuck (about the club?) , which is not the case. I am suggesting the players don't give a shit about the manager or his tactics because nothing improves even after half time.

You said they knew he was gone at the end of the season as if that should make the players not give a shit all of a sudden.

It's my right to detest the self righteous bollocks though, we're not rags
