Personally I would have thought those who see those players everyday would be in a position to give a more accurate view on the youth at the club and whether they are ready to play a part in the first team. The lack of playing time for those players would suggest that they don't feel they are quite ready yet. Our senior management team had a pretty good record of giving youth a chance at Barcelona so I would think they know what they are doing in this regard.

No my money is on @twosips not Pellegrini when it comes to City youth

To be fair I've played champ manager and when I cheated and give myself 250-300 mill I won the quadruple, yaya kicked off that season too.... Forgot his dogs birthday aparantly ..... Seriously though I reckon pep is in the bag (hence the obligatory 'we don't want him' report off the rags .... Pellegrini knows all this he's just the perfect gent about it.... Let's get behind pelle, cos if this is the case he's doing the club a huge gesture....

Look at Leicester this year.... Also Chelsea.... The prem is a tough tough league...

Pellers might believe some of them will never be truly top class, and you know what? While i disagree, fair enough. That's his opinion as he will see them day in day out and he's entitled to that, cos he might be right...but one thing i'm 100% sure about, as its been proven by every other club in the league, our kids are at least fine to 'do a job' now and let our senior players take a breather. The idea that they're not is categorically 100% wrong and Pellers is terrible for not seeing it. Ferguson got decent performances out of the likes of Higginbotham, Chadwick etc, and i'm not even having it that the likes of Neville, Neville two, Brown, Fletcher etc were any more talented at the same age as our current standouts. They were most likely similar, if not a tad less talented. Yet he still used them well, cos he knew you'd get one thing for certain from the kids - energy, drive, enthusiasm and a willingness to absolutely bust a gut for the cause. Sometimes that'll do just fine....

Bryan, Evans, Maffeo, Angelino, Barker, Ambrose...none of those would embarrass themselves Nor would Adarabioyo or Humphreys if they had to step in and just bolster at RB or DM for ten mins. They'd allow others rest, and who knows? Maybe we'd find a star amongst them. There's more too. Ntcham, Byrne last year spring to mind.

I agree completely and believe our youngsters are more talented, the comment from Pellegrini on the squad is a disgrace

Some of the comments on here yesterday were absolutely disgraceful towards Pellegrini, the man deserves a bit more respect than was shown to him on the matchday thread, I ended up with a 24 hour forum ban for turning the hatred back on the posters, you know who you are. Especially the twat that said he should be 'put down'.

The time for change will be the summer, when the right replacement will be available, I don't think it serves any purpose to get rid of him now, and while he is here, I will still get behind him and support the club.

That argument could be made for every facet of the game from substitutions, tactics, player acquisition etc. Its an illogical argument unless it is proven no manager of a football club has ever mistakenly sold a player because he did not rate him or never gave a player a chance and was proven incorrect.

Pocchettino was prepared to send Kane on loan last year as he did not think he was ready as one example.

Sadly it is a pattern with Pellers. Maybe its his age but he appears risk averse with regards young players. We have been comfortably winning home matches, with kids on the bench, and still the tried and trusted senior pros have played.

Denayer is a case in point. He deserved his chance this year and then at the last minute Otamendi was drafted in when the world could see the money spent would be better served on a central midfielder. Otamendi has signed a five year deal so what does that say to Denayer?

Only one way to find out though isn't there, Denayer is ready for one - sadly he will fuck off somewhere else, plenty of opportunities for them to get game time, Capital cup for one should be our breeding ground.

Nah, he'll play a prominent role under Pep next year. He's a big player for us in the future. A partner rather than replacement for Kompany but both being Belgian and Kompany putting his arm round him a few years back can't hurt much
