May I ask who you replace him with? Having said that if Pep is not signed, sealed and awaiting delivery in May I will be very, very pissed off!

Nah, he'll play a prominent role under Pep next year. He's a big player for us in the future. A partner rather than replacement for Kompany but both being Belgian and Kompany putting his arm round him a few years back can't hurt much

Hope so mate I really do, Iheanacho is another who will make it, his goals v Palace and last week v Hull show his killer instinct in the box , he can play wide or as a striker, sadly this season the manager is trying to prove Bony is good enough when quite frankly he isn't . As you say Pep knows a good player when he sees one.

That argument could be made for every facet of the game from substitutions, tactics, player acquisition etc. Its an illogical argument unless it is proven no manager of a football club has ever mistakenly sold a player because he did not rate him or never gave a player a chance and was proven incorrect.

Pocchettino was prepared to send Kane on loan last year as he did not think he was ready as one example.

Sadly it is a pattern with Pellers. Maybe its his age but he appears risk averse with regards young players. We have been comfortably winning home matches, with kids on the bench, and still the tried and trusted senior pros have played.

Denayer is a case in point. He deserved his chance this year and then at the last minute Otamendi was drafted in when the world could see the money spent would be better served on a central midfielder. Otamendi has signed a five year deal so what does that say to Denayer?

Of course managers make mistakes. However I find it more illogical to believe that a manager who is short of fit players and complains that the few fit ones are tired, would then continue to pick those players if he felt that he had better options from the EDS. He must have seen them in training a great deal and seen them around the first team players, so why on earth would he not play them unless he genuinely believed they weren't ready?

I am sure Pellegrini's bosses would put some pressure on him to play youth more if they felt it was the right decision. They had a pretty good record of bringing youth through at Barcelona after all.

I don't watch the EDS at all so I have no personal idea of how good any of them are or may become. If the choice is to rely on the opinions of some anonymous posters on an internet forum or on the manager and his bosses, I know which one seems the most logical to me with no disrespect to our EDS followers

The only way I can rationalise posters on here defending Pellegrini's youth policy are those who have never watched a single EDS game.

Anyone who has seen them in action would recognise that there are players there capable of playing a supporting role for the first team as and when.

There is a third way. I'm an "Until the seasons overer"

I suppose it also depends on if Pep is coming or not. If he is lined up you can understand the hesitancy.

If there is better available during the season then it has to be considered. Not a slight on Pellers just logical. There is something stale about the side at the minute. Still think we will win it this year though as we are far and away the best side/squad in the country

I have never watched a single EDS game but I have no doubt some of them look very good players at that level. There is a big step up though to premier league football though.

I can't think of a logical reason why Pellegrini doesn't play them at a time when we have a lot of injury problems and tired players, unless he genuinely believes they aren't ready yet.

If things got really bad (which I honestly don't expect given the strength of our squad) as someone mentioned yesterday, Capello would be an excellent shout until the summer and possibly beyond if Pep falls through.

It's taken me two and a half years to realise the guys a wanker. The people who employed him are also wankers. Pellegrini's success was spawned from Mancinis demise. Get rid soon please.
