If we get Pogba, no. If not I wouldn't be surprised to see us try and eek one last full season out of him rather than be stuck with a second choice. Not wild on the idea of going into next season with Yaya, Fernandinho, Delph and Fernando as our midfield options.

Whilst I'd like Pogba, I wouldn't be too fussed if we didn't get him and got De Bruyne. In the same way that playing Milner wide gace us more cover and energy in the central areas to cover Ya Ya, I think that De Bruyne would give us that along with more of an attacking threat than Milner ever gave us. Also, Delph has bags of energy and would be great alongside Ya Ya.

Well well I'm not really optimistic he's learnt anything from last season .
I know we had some players missing today .
But that performance even in a friendly was pathetic .
Like others have said Yaya needs to play just off the striker .

I give up!

He has to get our discipline right off the ball and get everyone pressing as a unit, do that and it will ease so much pressure of our central defenders who I thought were overcompensating for a lot of poor midfield covering last season.

You can't play 3 number 10s in the same team .
And I'm on about Nasri , Yaya and Silva .i

I reckon next Season will be one of the most competitive for the Title. Arsenal are really going to push on, Chelsea are still strong ,the rags have built as well.
There will be no room for sloppy results and points chucked away if any Manager fails to motivate or select the best team. We still have the same Manager with all his flaws-has he corrected our woeful inability to deliver a corner? ,has he corrected our dismal lack of defending balls into our box?.
On the positive side we have one quality signing which should correct our slow ,slow build up.
Not enough at this point to change last season though....If he is keeping the seat warm for someone else I wouldn't expect some of our 'lazy' players to bust a gut to impress.

Will we be ready for the first game of the season? RM can play a full strength team with their season starting two weeks after ours. Will new players still be getting use to each other? Have the weaknesses of last season been resolved? Pleased with Sterling today, shame Delph got injured.

If his legs are going, that's the last place he should play. He should drop deeper. If you think a City team without Kompany Mangala and Demchelis and playing two very young players in central defence was going to have anything other than a hard time against Real Madrid then that really is rather silly isn't it?

You might well ask way we were there in the first place
