There's no way we'd turn down a definite for a possible. Either we have Guardiola's signature somewhere or we're in for Klopp and briefing against it

This could be a clever move by Klopp, knowing we're after Pep in a year but putting himself on the market now in a 'you can have Pep next year or me now". Gives the club a real dilemma. However either of the following works well I think, Klopp now and for the next 4-5 years or Ancelloti now for 1 season and Pep for 3-4 after that. I think we're in a pretty strong position
The problem with the waiting for Pep scenario is that our squad needs overhauling THIS summer. Why bring in players now that might not fit a system in 1 year when Pep would supposedly take over. Not to mention the new players might be bought wiht Pep in mind but the incumbent manager plays a system they dont fit and we are poor for another year.
Makes more sense to get the right guy in now and buy with input from the manager over how he likes to play and what type of player he would prefer.

I have no idea where you got the 'Ancelotti for just one season' idea from - why would he accept that?

Txiki shouldn't be given further opportunity to fuck yet more stuff up with his Spanishcentric bullshit.

If we don't get this guy then it will be a missed opportunity and instead Wallace and gromit will try and launch pep then they'll he fucked he decides to either extend his contract or move to another club.

Last week it was Ancelotti and now that Klopp is available majority seem to be jumping on this horse.

Basically it is clearly evident that fans want anybody but Pellegrini.
Yet in the MUEN last night it was a majority of City fans wanted to keep Pellers, fuck knows what City fans they asked as I don't know a one

City aren't looking at Jurgen Klopp and at this stage have no plans to replace Pellegrini this summer. (via @SkySportsAmy)

That just sounds like a club brief so the rumours don't go overboard, what did we expect the club to say. Plus they said not at this stage!!

If I remember correctly, Klopp said a while back that the next team he manages will be in a country that he can speak the language so that leaves out Real Madrid. For now anyway.

He would be my perfect appointment, his man management and footballing philosophy will be very successful and entertaining in England.

I hope to god you are right because otherwise this could be the biggest mistake made by the club since the takeover.

If Pep isn't 100% nailed on then we have to at least be considering Klopp... even if Pep is 100% nailed on we should still be considering Klopp

Despite what people think on here at times, Txiki Begiristain is an accomplished and successful football executive with a great CV full of excellent and long reaching decisions that help turn Barcelona into the greatest team ever.

He's not a moustache twirling villain here to "purposely destabilize us" nor is he "a fucking moron". He'll be onto Klopp no matter what Sky Sources say. He interviewed Mourinho for Barcelona despite briefing the press that they have no interest in him at all. In fact he once claimed that we had no interest at all in Neymar despite seen seen at a Brazilian game and talking to Neymar's Dad. He's the Iraqi Information Minister when it comes to dealing with the press and the Press Office will be outright denying everything until some contact is made.

There's absolutely no chance at all that we don't interview Klopp unless he rejects us out of hand. Zero. It would be foolish not to hear him out even if our minds are already made up and it's not the way that Begiristain operates.

If Txiki and co let an available Klopp pass just so we can try for Pep in a years time with no guarantees he'll be available then sorry to all the Txikiboppers but he'll have fucked up something serious.

Gladly I doubt they'd take that risk.

They will speak to all those who they think can improve the performances and results of the club but the days when we have managers at City for more than say two to three years despite the cry that stability at management and success should ensure are gone.

If we get rid of MP it won't be because no other manager available is guaranteed a three year deal and we will honour it , it will be because in the eyes of those responsible for the decision he is not the right man to head us for next season and beyond full stop.

You can have sustained success turning over managers every two/three years in any league just as we turned them over like pancakes when we were a struggling yo yo club in the 80's and 90's.
