I wonder where Ancelotti could end up if he is being pushed out at Real but gets no offer from us?

I dont think he would go back to PSG. Would seem a bit odd. Also for him to join Milan a nice romantic thing but they have a mediocre squad now, no EL, no CL, and with that squad even Ancelotti wouldnt reach CL places next season. Or if he would go back there he should forget about CL as a manager.

He doesnt really have big options apart form City. He is used to manage expensive squads with chance to win big trophies. Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Real. City could be an obvious choice from his point of view if he is out of job in the summer. Which he will be imo if he fails to win either La Liga or CL.
but he could win both still so I think he still doesnt know 100% that he continues elsewhere or not.

Klopp imo would be Real's first choice. Yeah he wants to come to the PL as he can use his language skills here, but when Real calls you, not many manager would say no because I dont know much Spanish. Especially if only English clubs like Newcastle/WHU approach you.:)

Same question goes for Klopp, where does he go if gets no jobb offer from City as we stick with Pelle, and neither from Real as Ancelotti might win CL again and they keep him?
Does he go to Milan? Maybe PSG calls him? Or Pool decides to axe Big Brendan?

If we go for any of them that would kill the dream of Txiki, and would put Guardiola free to joing our rivals next summer maybe.

But in football you never can be 100% sure of anything, we may have Pep's word he comes next summer but we stick with Pelle in hope of Pep arrives later, than maybe PSG offers Pep something extraordinary 2-3 times the wages we would offer maybe, and he goes there. Then what?
In football these kind of things easily can happen.

Didnt we have an agreement with Isco, his words with Pelle that he comes, than Real made a bid, Zidane talked to the guy and he went there. Unless you have something written in contract agreements count nothing.

Turning down two top managers that are potentially available without a complete commitment of Pep coming here would be a terrible mistake.

If it isn't in writing anything can happen.

I understand where you are coming from on control but we have a different view here. Even in this disappointing season, with five games left, we continue to top the possession charts (although I would like our percentage to be 10 points higher) and, I know you love this, we currently average the fewest shots against our goal whilst having the most at t'other end. We have plenty of control but we are not being efficient enough in our opponents' final third and we are conceded from too high a percentage of our opponents' chances. When our control does break is seems to break badly; part of that may be blamed on the system but a lot comes back to too many errors from players.

What is for sure is that Pellers has not found the answers and it may well cost him his job. I hope though that he and the players find some answers for the run-in.

I may love it but there is no way I am going another round or three on fewest shots conceded/most shots for argument...think we will agree to disagree and leave it there :)

And yes I hope to God we have found some answers for the run-in.

If MP is staying another season, I have no problem it can only mean we have an agreement with Pep for the season after. The reason being there is no point changeing a manager for one season it don't make sence unless there is an agreement with Pep,so if MP is staying I for one am happy

Wouldn't put money on it Karen, if it's him again next season expect another season of dour uninspiring football from an equally dour and uninspiring manager.

We need a change there's no two ways about it

The more I think about it the more I believe we should go all out for Klopp. I simply don't believe that Pep would have even given his word to the Barca boys about coming here one year from now. Let alone anything in writing. If Pellegrini stays then he will buy — of course — this summer. Then, presuming he's not here in one year's time, those players would be his choices, not the incoming manager's. We move for Klopp, and then he buys who he wants. Fresh start right across the board. Great respect to Pellegrini for last year — that was not easy, and he should be given credit for it — but… it's time.

Or it could mean Pep is staying at Bayern and Klopp ends up elsewhere.

Pep needs to find his bollocks if he intends managing us and tell KHR to swivel, it's shouldn't be the tail wagging the dog.

We could just buy the players Pep wants ready for the season after(if there is an agreement) .

I actually feel for Pellegrini. Ever since he has been manager he has been dignified, professional and brought us success. Yet some people come on here and openly say they dislike him. By all means come out and say you think he should be sacked, but to dislike someone who has done nothing to merit it is a disgrace.

If we can get Klopp or Guardiola then by all means replace Pellegrini as they are two of the three 'elite' managers out there along with Mourinho. However, names being banded about like Sabella and Ancelotti are no upgrade.

The real reason we have been shite this season is because Yaya has been a shadow of the player he was last season. Our most important player, the guy who makes us tick has not performed. I'm not solely blaming Yaya for that drop in form. In fact the powers that be should be held accountable for assembling a squad that is so heavily reliant on one player.

In fact this is where FFP stung us. There is no way we could have justified selling Yaya with our transfer cap. A replacement would have been far to costly and we would not have been able to add a much needed CB to the squad.

Nonetheless, we have gone from a free scoring team to a shambles. Again I am not saying Pellegrini is blameless, far from it. But look at the tools he has been given to put his mark on the squad he inherited: Jovetic, Navas, Mangala, the Ferns and Bony. They are hardly the type of personell that will transform us onto Barca's level.

Those who talk about Ancelotti mention how he can come in and work with what he has and get them competing for trophies. Well is that not what Pellegrini did? Time is catching up with our players and we need to adapt.

For me what we do next manager wise is simple. If Pep or Klopp are available you get them no questions asked. However if none of them want to come then you stick with Pellers. He deserves, after last season, the chance the put his mark on the team by bringing inhis own key players.

You've not been watching us properly if you think this the case.

I think you underestimate just how important Yaya is to City.

We've been shite this season not because of yaya, but because the way pellers sets us up. He's fucked our defence up (same back line that had the best defensive record for 2-3 seasons) he plays 4-4-2 with yaya and fern/dinho holding when literally everyone knows yaya is shit defensively and never tracks back then when teams counter attack and exploit us in the midfield area they're pretty much gonna score and continuous rotation fucks us up aswell. If yayas the reason we've been shit how do you explain how we played when he went to the acon?

If Yaya isn't the same player then it's Pellegrini's fault when he doesn't react to this by changing our shape etc.

No coincidence our stellar run came when we had a shortage of strikers and had no option but to flood the midfield.

Hmmm, my defence didn't hold up today.

Needs binned asap! His picking of fernando over Fernandihno is fucking baffling! And a midfield of lampard, yaya and fernando with milner and dinho on the bench?!?!? Absolutely shocking from the manager and has took the team backwards rapidly.

Meh, I can't get angry about this stuff.

We all seem to think he's gone, the players think he's gone and really his job now is to keep us in the top 3. Performances don't matter at this point and only the scores on the board do.

Fernando is rapidly developing into my favourite City player. Because of him I've been up to the loft and dusted off my old football boots. I think I jacked it in too early.
