We were recently linked with midfield enforcer Lars Bender ....maybe on instructions from Klopp :)

Lars Bender plays for Leverkusen, its Sven that plays for Dortmund.

I was wondering whether Klopp is really destined for City?

That seems the most likely destination but surely he'd want CL confirmation first and given FFP and an ageing squad, might he be looking elsewhere?

If so, Arsenal would appear most likely. They are known admirers of Klopp. Gazidis was recently quoted as saying he wasn't happy about the season. With greater financial strength, more money in the kitty for top signings and CL nailed on yet again, might it be the time that Kroenke decides the future demands a younger man and kick Wenger upstairs with the eternal gratefulness of the Board? Maybe far fetched, but you have to wonder?

Red Café in City Klopp link meltdown.

Making up any excuse as to why he wouldn't join.

Would be my dream appointment. Absolutely the perfect fit for City in every way. If we can get him it will be an enormous statement of intent from the board with regards the direction the club is heading in in the next few years. I was just saying yesterday that City would not move Pellegrini on this summer without having a long term replacement. And suddenly there's one on the market. :)

Get it done Txiki.

I'll probably get laughed at for this, but the idea of Guardiola at City has never really excited me that much. The idea of Klopp certainly does though.

If people go mad and use the word holistic to mean absolutely anything that they don't like about the club, they'll go insane when he starts talking about Gesamtkunstwerk

Agreed. Need our magic man to come through for us here as Klopp is the big one in terms of fitting everything we're trying to do and he's available now.

Competition from basically every major club in the world to some degree.
