He is not knackered or exhausted, he resigned because he felt Dortmund needs new ideas, Klopp is a top tier maneger and if he wants the job we should welcome him with open arms.

Exactly, and surely he'll get a couple of weeks in Tenerife over the summer to recoup, a year's way too much.
 
Klopp excites me.
I just don't want to start dreaming too soon... I've kicked in the teeth already this season, don't want to feel it again if he's not coming.
He's the perfect guy to help whip up atmosphere too. None of your laid back crap.

Pretty much summarised the conference but he said he couldn't guarantee the club he was the right man to take the club forward and too many changes would need to be made next season which would make his job even harder for him to ensure the ambitions of the club were to be met under his guidance.

Said the usual that he had not thought about his next club and this decision has been reached over sometime after talking it over with his family.

7 years he said was a long time at any club for a person like him and in general and was longer than he would expect but he always believed he had the full support of the players and the board in the time he was with them since 2008.

This ususally means he needs a new challenge and despite him sayin he has had no " formal discussions " with any other club since December when he first decided it was best he leave the club despite his contract it also means we have discussed the positon at City with him for sure.
 
Talk Shite are on about Klopp to RM and Anchelotti to us. They are claiming to have first heard this rumour six weeks ago.

It's good news either way. Klopp announcement means the market is stirring early, which will most likely mean manager availability elsewhere if he's not coming here.
Liverpool could be an issue though... Wouldn't want Rodgers.
Ironically if Liverpool get top 4 that makes it harder to sack Rodgers, and if they don't get top 4, we probably will, thus having CL for Klopp.
 
He's announced this early so that Dortmund can confirm Tuchel as his successor.

Don't see why then we can't confirm that MP is leaving at the end of the season and confirm that Klopp is replacing him.

The players can't do any worse and might be quite excited about Klopp taking over and bee keen to impress him ahead of his arrival.

Has this got anything to do with those cryptic comments many pages back about waiting on hearing from a manager at another club? And a date (was it the 15th) to hear by.

Perhaps this calling of the conference today is a coded message in the same vein as that original post.

But is it Klopp saying 'Yes' - or Klopp saying 'maybe' and effectively putting himself on the transfer list?

Same person who give me spot on info when we got nailed for ffp mate. My cousin works at bbc sport media team and is good mates with a lad in city's media team and statements etc are being prepped and a board meeting of type was held today if tolm or someone could verify? The board are stunned as much as anything as to how bad its got and never thought we would even be close to missing out on top 4.
