I have no beef whatsoever with him mate - by all accounts we're lucky to have him and he's doing a great job

I just don't buy into this idea that transfers are a difficult or complicated process - especially with the resources we have available

Identifying the positions in which we need to improve is not difficult either

Targeting the right players and making them fit into our team is the hard job

Hypothetically speaking if KDB falls through and by all accounts Pogba is as dead as a dodo who would have been the alternatives?

What's more how would have that helped Manuel in his prep for the season

to be conservative in our judgment of Txiki's ability this transfer window is a reasonable position - and we shouldn't judge his success until next May
Oh FFS !!!

Thanks for responding, but IMO you are being rediculous saying transfers are not either difficult or complex. Are you seriously suggesting that he has been doing jack for these last few months and all he had to do was write a cheque?

No but at the same time it's not some grand victory for Txiki - let's face it Liverpool named a price and we paid it

I'm sorry mate, you have obviously got some strange thought patterns going on

Ok then - look at the Pedro deal today -'done in a number of hours

Same with Robinho

Liverpool and Wolfsburg don't want to let their players go which obviously makes it trickier but all it comes down to is money

Put it this way I'm sure Gary Cooke could have done the same deals

Anyway like I said he will be judged at the end of the season so I look forward to an interesting debate then. I really hope we are successful and win trophies!

Somehow, you leave me with the impression you won't be.

Incidentally, you never answered my second point regarding what will Txiki have to do this window to make you change your views

Well, up until now, you have been very vocal in judging him. And why the end of the season?

In my eyes the biggest weakness that everybody knows about is CM

I was expecting an overhaul in central midfield to be honest as last season proved we couldn't play Toure and Fernandinho especially in Europe

Fernando albeit a decent player not had the desired effect. Yes we have signed Fabien Delph - I hope he proves me wrong and is a world beater but he's not quite the addition I was expecting.

So I will judge him on whether he adresses the midfield in the next few weeks - which given what we're about to spend Otamemdi and KDB it's highly unlikely

Just hope we can keep our great start going - though I fear in Europe it will be the same old story. Many posters reading will be in agreement
