There is no agenda. Also, United sign their first transfer (both clubs at 1 a piece) and its a South American. I anxiously await the story about Moyes not giving Englishmen a chance going forward. Should I hold my breath?

Probably not...

BTW

Wonder how oakie's hangover is today ... pretty fierce I hould imagine, judging by last night's 'outpourings' !!

Hey cnut I heard that !! ;)
Fucking hell it was only when I read back some of the shite I wrote last night I thought, keep away from BM on a Monday and Friday after the Guinness.Lets see what happens this week ! ;) Hic.

No wucking forries, M8

I am as guilty as the next man of posting psychedelic meanderings on this forum when 'relaxed'

All good fun ... let the City surreal rollercoaster wing on to its next destination !!!

It was a sad day in Manchester when the chron went.
AND THE GREEN!

The Green was the Evening News's heavily pro-Rag sports paper. I think you mean the Evening Chronicle's Pink which was much more balanced. The Pink outsold the Green for that very reason and it's no coincidence that after the merger of the broadsheet MEN and the tabloid sized Chron the broadsheet Green was dumped and the tabloid Pink was retained.

The memories and the excitement of the pink and green toilet squares on the Monday morning !!
Joy .

Enjoy your retirement Oakie, By the way what are we having for tea tonight as I may bring round a six pack!!

Maybe I'm weird but I had been getting the MEN mon-sat for as far back as I can remember (no longer bother because of the net) and have never felt there was some kind of Utd bias. I don't know where the "MUEN" stuff comes from.

I have said it to many people and I think Brennan mentioned it recently also. This talk about it being the MUEN is complete and utter tosh. With little increase in circulation, the newspaper cannot afford to alienate one part of Manchester - to be anyway successful it must appeal to all sections of the community.

Yes of course some articles might appear anti City or pro rag, but on other occasions the reverse applies and over all it balances itself out, the editor would not dare to make it any other way.
