Only one person said that and he is wrong, as previously said use it or don't doesn't make you less of a fan the issue is not about having a system to sell on or exchange your ticket if you can't make it, it's that viagogo are glorified touts (charging £7000 for wimbledon final ticket that cost £30)

As for Durham Blue2 my mate has a different but similar situation as he has come into some financial difficulty and so has had to choose to give up his season ticket he's had for 20 odd yrs temporarily, he went to see the ticket office explained the situation and they have sorted out a blue membership with all his points and have left his season card seat open for 3 years so he has time to go back to it believe seat will be sold as a match day ticket for now

Wimbledon final tickets don't cost £30. Plus the prices of the tickets are set not by viagogo but by the person selling the ticket. Viagogo is simply a conduit to sell tickets.

The club caps all sales on viagogo to 50% of the price which prevents games being sold for ridiculous amounts of money.

yeah typo there sorry the 1 in front of 30 didn't register when typing - still £130 to £7000 as the cheapest they was selling is still ridiculous as they have been caugh before selling tickets with their own inflated add on fee for profit i.e touting the RFU have already had them in court for this

True blue must need season ticket for 50 years plus and have been to every away match for the last 60 years

P.s. I went to Dortmund Away last season , does that help my (lost) cause?

DB2, I was only making a joke on the back of what Bluescholar said earlier in the thread.

If Viagogo helps a few Blues out, then it's worthwhile. Anyone who has a problem with it doesn't have to use it. Simple as that.

I've used it once, sold my ticket at face value. All very efficient and one less empty seat.

Its not perfect, there should be better ways of doing it. But there will always be touts and I blame the people that sell on their ticket at high mark ups rather than the system they use.

I find the service Viagogo useful. I'd be more inclined to sign a keep viagogo petition.

There seems to be a split in the opinion. I really can't see the club dropping them.

I enjoy getting money for a ticket that would otherwise not have been used, and giving another blue the chance to use it.

The issue I have had with Viagogo (which is why I've gone Gold this Season) is the minimum pricing policy.
If you can't go to a wintry midweek game at home to West Brom, you should be able to name your own minimum price instead of being forced to list it for £47 for example. No-one is going to buy at that price & I'd rather list it to actually sell at £25, instead of listing it unsuccessfully for £47.

if it was to get ditched, will those who have paid 50 quid extra for platinum get a refund.

my loyalty was earnt getting 10 points per game watching us when we were shit, platinum enables me to sell my partners and daughters ticket when they cannot make a midweek game, bugger all to do with paying for loyalty on my part.

platinum is the biggest con going, but brilliant marketing from the club.

And thats not Viagogo's fault either, City have insisted on that because nobody is going to buy tickets direct from the club for £50 when they are on viagogo for £25.

My opinion is its not ideal but I would rather have it than not.

MCFC don't 'cap' anything. Viagogo set the pricing policy and they don't care whether they rip off a City fan, any other football, sports or concert fan.

It wouldn't be too bad if the selling supporter could set any 'minimum' level, but they can't.

Viagogo limit the start price - and it is nowhere near face value!!

Minimum of 90% of the match price. And you still see nothing wrong with it??
