Do United and Arsenal have 'special relationship' ?

Say what the fuck you like but I've just watched Fergurson and Wenger's pre-match press conferences and it's hard to tell which want is licking the other one's arse the most.

One of sky's so called experts said he's pleased to see Arsenal are giving United the 'traditional' guard of honour. Traditional since when has a few years of this bullshit become traditional. It's utter crap and sychophantic bullshit. No I don't believe your only allowed a guard of honour if you win the league with games remaining does this mean every team they play between now and the end of the season guarantees a guard of honour. Fucking bullshit. Please can somebody point me in the direction of this you only get a traditional guard of honour if you win the title before the end of season one rule for them and not for us shite.

Listening to Talksport this morning Craig Brown was on with Keys and Gray and he's going on about 'How great Fergie is, Fergie this and Fergie that, Fergie gives advice to other clubs about which managers to go for, Fergie gives advice to managers about which jobs to go for' and then the crème de la crème from Brown 'Fergie is extremely influential in football and rightly so' and in the background there's little chuckles like its some old boys club all sliced up and no one questioning just why the fuck is it right that he's so influential. Surely being a manager of not just any club but one of the worlds biggest clubs and being so influential in the game is the complete opposite of all that is right and correct and by any just cause isn't right. Surely having influence is anything but right.

Fuck it I'm just another idiot that believes there's something not quite right going on here.

They have more of a relationship now Wenger's head is permanently wedged up Fergie's arse.

Giving United a fecking Guard of Honour at The Emirates this weekend. Where the fuck was ours?!
We didn't win the league with games to spare, otherwise we would have had one if we wanted.

If we hadn't have been taken over and been winning trophies, but RVP still moved to OT, not one person on here would say there was a 'special relationship'. It's just another example of the utter paranoia that has, for some reason, taken over certain fans of ours.
You cannot deny, surely, the reduced levels of antipathy between united and Arsenal since 2008.
That's because they're no longer a threat to united.

-- Fri Apr 26, 2013 4:56 pm --

Didn't United give Chelsea a guard of honour just after Chelsea wrapped up the league and before the league had finished, during the Mourinho era?

Favours? Not here for that. If I think someone's sounding bitter ill say so, doesn't mean I'm a (bore) rag. I've met 2112, he's sound but that doesn't mean I won't say he's sounding bitter or anything else, should I think that. That's the problem on here, if you don't 'fit in' you're outed as a rag. My step sons playground is more mature than here, and he's 4.

Nice one mate. A good, decent reply.

As for the term 'Bitters' Pidge I've never quite understood this one. They were successful year on year whilst we were yo-yoing the divisions. Some daft fucker probably Boyley termed us as Bitters, Liars, Massives, Berties and all come from Stockport. They all latched on to it and if ever I tried to have a conversation with any of them they just threw these terms our way. They would and could never debate football let alone our cross city rivalry because very few even know their own history. I've actually got a rag mate that once asked me to tear another rag apart for him in an argument about their own history so little did they both know about their own club.

I've never got their humour. I've actually given up arguing with them and boy was I a fucker in my younger days because their comebacks are so poor. I used to long for a good debate/banter with them and for them to call us something relevant rather than bitter, massive, berties etc...

They recognise these terms because they see it in themselves, oh yes bitterness towards any club that should ever have the temerity to beat them on the pitch. Even when they've won the title they cannot resist the temptation to throw it in the face of their rivals. Fucking despise the c***ts because they are shallow classless bitter bastards.

That's why I quoted it mate, as that's what they call us. Stony clearly missed that.

I agree and I posted an analogy earlier in the thread to that effect.

Taking my City hat off, it is a little pathetic to see a once great rival reduced to fawning and scraping in order to garner approval from a club that they once stood toe to toe with.
