Clichy hasn't had a good season I agree and he breaks up a lot of attacks(I'd rather have him do that than give the ball away at a horrible position to do it though... which has happened when he's trying too hard and it's led to conceding on more than one occasion), I agree I'd rather have Kolarov playing since Clichy has been just as vulnerable going the other way this season but how many games at left back is safe for us to play him? Even when fully fit he can get beat scarily easy at times, When he's leggy?...
Yaya was the one who apologised, nobody expected the twat of an agent to apologise(it was a call for Yaya to take control of the situation), you show me where he specifically said it was his agent who needed apologise. Also there's been games where people have been dead certain Yaya would make the difference, he comes on and nothing at all has changed or he plays the next game and we've been worse than the previous game... when he's on his game he can make a difference but he's not always on his game and he's not the magic bullet.
Also Fernandinho was contender for player of the season the previous 2 seasons, arse from elbow springs to my mind with the people coming out with "I don't get why people always said he's underrated" this season. He was actually one of our best in the first half of the season are people already forgetting the kind of performances that led to Pep saying if he had a team full of Dinho's he'd win the CL, second half of the season he has faded which could be down to a number of factors: The ref attention he's been getting; the 2 reds he received in the league were his own doing but had the ref vs Chelsea been competent none of the drama happens that led Aguero's sending off and the aftermath. As a result of the first red he came back trying too hard to make amens and dived in to challenge not needing to. Only a few games before that he'd been sent off vs Borussia Mönchengladbach which was a complete ref blunder rather than his own doing, by the time he was sent off vs Burnley that was 3 in 6 games. Another reason could be that he was being asked to switch position in a team that is always changing in system he's still learning, another reason could be the amount of running we ask of him maybe catching up with him this season we need more rotation in certain positions and we've not really been able to do it without it costing us.
As for the dramatic "worst season ever" claims you're entitled to your opinion but I disagree it's been a very mixed bag(from pure bliss to utter frustration) between beating Barca and some of the best performances I've seen City play(yep... better than anything under Pellers or Mancini but just not getting close to repeating that kind of form nearly enough), we've also already equalled our final points tally from last year with 3 home games left to play.
