I would like to see us knock it down the channels more.
And perhaps get a big man up front, to nod it on.
I much prefer it when we are chasing teams around, watching them pass the ball about, rather than doing that ourselves.
And the keeper passing it out ? Fffs, what's that all about, get rid of it ffs.
Two big men up front in fact, kepper hits it long, two big fast wingers & a couple of defensive mids & a back four who fucking STAY back, none of this poncy lark. Just wait til a team does that, you'll see.

Yeah Leicester won the league and did better than us in Europe doing that.
Keeping possession is okay but there is no guile or imagination now Pep has got his message across. If he gets the best players in the world together then the system doesn't really matter, but until then has has become obvious and easy to defend against. Just hope the next 3 home games are not like Stoke and Utd again.

I think our football this season is worse than last season's. It is just boring as fuck, having a lot of possession is great but if you don't do anything with it, I might as well watch paint dry. I really hope that when we have proper fullbacks that work with Pep's system this will all be a bad memory.
As it stands we sometimes played better, more exciting football under Erikson and Mancini.
A lot of shit Under both of them too, when they first started.

Whilst I don't disagree with what you have posted it also needs to be acknowledged that Txiki took up his post in October 2012 and he has been (supposedly) preparing the way for Pep since then.
Pep would have known many months (if not years) in advance about joining City and would have influenced the transfer decisions. Few managers have ever had so much support in joining a new club.
We also need to acknowledge that some of his tactical decisions e.g. playing the high line against Leicester, were simply ludicrous.
Agree with that and understand that Txiki can be held responsible for the lack of signings in terms of moving fowards. in all honesty i bellieve Pep thought that our defence was intelligent enouh, and had enough quality to take on board his ideas - it wasnt and was by far nowhere near his standard.
We have have had massive ups and downs this season because he is not just changing the squad but he is tying to change how our first team play the game, and by that it is a philosophy that he used at barcelona - play the same, believe that you can and will break them down. Fans regardless of what club they supported knew about Pep and his approach to the game - Bayern wanted it and got him, we wanted it and got him. Others wanted him and failed to get him.
It is a work in progress, we have had snippets of some beautiful football at times when the players currently here have clicked, and other times when they have failed to click and it has been sloppy or poor..but that in my personal opinion was what i thought would happen from the begining of the season.
The squad at the moment is not complete, and it is definately not strong in terms of the bench. Txiki has to deliver this summer because Pep would have already demanded it, which is why i think targets have already geen agreed with the odd exception of one or two.

Everybody's fault but Guardiola's , pep this pep that, not peps standard etc etc , how about the games we've lost directly down to his shit tactics ? I know it was only Steaua but some of the football played in that away game was amazing. Similar to when Bayern came to our spot in the CL and had us chasing shadows all night.
Doesn't get away from the fact that this season has mirrored last season with the great start and then a very disappointing 2nd half of the season. There's nothing to suggest it won't be the same next season.
