Totally out of the blue at the end of a routine press conference he blurted out he was leaving. Allegedly the club had no idea he was going to announce it and hastily had to prepare and issue their statement

Ok, he never said pep was coming but it was his unnecessary statement that forced the clubs hand

He said it at the end of the conference, the statement was ready immediately, it wasn't hastily prepared and it wasnt blurted out. Allegedly nothing, the club new exactly what was happening.

If Pep wasn't coming in first place, then Pellegrini would have got the sack at the end of 2014-15 season and replaced by another top manager, like Ancelotti. This shit season was the price of getting Pep, lets hope its worth it.

I love the idea tat the likes of Yaya or Kolarov need an excuse to half arse it. It had no impact whatsoever, we were playing shit and losing to everyone half decent before that and we've continued to play shit and lose to everyone half decent since then. It's just a poor excuse

Don't believe that Pellers personally caused this current situation, more the Club's ambition to bring in Pep (and get it done ASAP) whilst not trying to undermine him.

When Keegan wouldn't sign he got the boot which lead to the Pearce golden patch from just about looking safe to one kick from Europe. They give Pellegrini and extra year to stop the Keegan situation then undermined him.

The decline started last season, and like a snowball rolling down a hill, its accelarated in this one. Chelsea won the title very comfortably. We had a good period in December/January where we caught up with them, I would say that the injuries we had helped us, it forced Pellegrini to change his tactics a bit, and try a new approach, but after that we fell in the last 3 months. There were some awful performances. Remember the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle in the League Cup, 4-2 defeat in the derby, going out the FA Cup to Middlesbrough, etc. I wanted Pellegrini gone after last seasons derby. This season has just been a continuation of last years problems. We had a good finish, and ended up 2nd, but it papered over a lot of cracks.

That match against 'Boro was a sell out for the chance of europa football - Doesn't seem to be the same excitement for El on Sunday. We seem to expect too much when footy, especially this season, doesn't always work out the way we expect it.
The Pearce appointment just goes to show how half a season success doesn't equate to a full season or continual success.
Just hope that the Club have factored this awful transition into their plans (whether it is Plan A, B or C) somehow.
