Do you agree with the announcement timing of pep to city?

Guordiola deal was annouced on feb 1st and pl standings on feb 3rd.

(24 games each)

1: Leicster : 50
2: City : 47
3: Spurs : 45
4: Arsenal :45

Not being an appologist just think we made a mistake with timing of annoucement

Don't forget Bayern had to make their announcement as they are half owned by the fans.

By we do you mean "Manchester City Football Club"? Or by that useless wanker which is our manager? Please verify?

As said previously, the only error was not getting Pep when Mancini left, 3 years of treading water, and nearly drowning.

Pelegrini brought the announcement forward, so the blame lies with him.

If Pep was not coming to us, Pelegrini would have gone last summer.

If the announcement was wrong - then any dip in form can only be due to media pressure. We all knew the Pep signing was more or less a done deal many months before it was announced. Anyone who thinks we they were more ITK than the players/manager/staff during that time are seriously giving themselves far too much credit.

The players/manager/staff know what's going on well before we do. and we shouldn't forget that. We get media snippets. but the vast majority of us we don't work at/for the club on a day to day basis. To think that it came as any sort of shock to the players/manager is naivety in the extreme.

Yeah. I was buzzing.

I can't imagine how I'd be feeling if Pep wasn't coming here after this turd of a season. . .
Bluemoon would have melted down a long time ago if there was no pep to look forward to.

Pellers is the only person to blame for our current style/application.

We were shit for 18 months before the announcement was made. I hoped it would make us better. It just made us no worse.

Really do not understand how this keeps getting discussed - as if there had been some choice and it was badly handled.

Once Bayern forced the position so it became public that Pep would be leaving them the press were all over Pep re where he was going and when he stated that he was England bound the press were all over Pellers and City. Making the announcement became a necessary action otherwise every week - perhaps day - would have been some farcical press circus.

It was not the badly handled communications strategy people seem to want to brand it - just an awkward situation

I personally dont agree with the annoucement timing and it had its effects, it gave some players the chance to take the manger for granted and not being to arsed about what pellers had to say or offer.
It was announced in February...we were shit from October onwards so what's the excuse for October to February?

October:
Boring 0-0 at United
Struggled to beat Norwich 2-1 at home

November:
Terrible 0-0 at Villa
Appalling 1-4 v Liverpool

December:
Appalling 2-0 at Stoke
Struggled to beat Swansea 2-1
Really poor losing 2-1 at Arsenal

January:
Really poor in victory at Watford
Crap 0-0 v Everton
Very poor but managed to get a draw at West Ham

That's ten of our 14 Prem games from United away in October to the 1st February Guardiola announcement and we were pretty much shite in those ten games which is more than a quarter of our season.

Announced or not, I don't doubt for one moment that the players were blind to what was happening. All the announcement did was to make it known to all and sundry

Where is the proof that confirms this
