Do you like / get on with the neighbours

live next door to the Clampetts, rag family, utter twats, they're top of my list come the day
Fuck me I thought it was only me unlucky enough to live next door to the clampetts.
The mother is almost 70 and bear in mind it's a small one bedroomed bungalow has her almost 40 year old son living there and most nights and weekends his 4 kids and a fucking Cane corso dog.
On top of that he has his pot smoking piss head mates round frequently and they drink and smoke in garden before driving around to shops etc..plus they have a hot tub in back garden which they sometimes use at 2 in the morning.
Her garden stinks of dogshit as she just sweeps it under a tree in garden ..thankfully it's not near to my garden..scruffy cunts.

During covid when everyone went outside to celebrate the NHS it was all waving and chatting away. Since then we're all hermits again keeping ourselves to ourselves.

my dad taught me never get friendly with your neighbours. A hello is all you need. Don’t do them any favours, don’t get pally with them. Keep them at arms length but be polite.

It’s worked in the 30 odd years I’ve had houses.

Definitely good advice for Langley… haha!

On a serious note I think my neighbours growing up there were all brilliant.

Ironically I’ve lived in more affluent places and had nothing but trouble. Not with neighbours but with thieves, dickheads and locals.

Lived here as a non-native for 8 years now and never had a hint of bother. And I also was weary of the rep prior to the move. Divorce meant I had to find somewhere cheap and I found a lot more house for my money than where I sold up previously.
